Princess Charlotte dons £299 Ralph Lauren cashmere jumper and £15 polo and £20 trainers from Next

Kate Middleton is known for mixing high-end designers with street bargains — and this afternoon, the mother of three opted for this winning formula with Princess Charlotte’s outfit.

The Prince, 40, and Princess of Wales, 41, delighted volunteers this morning when they arrived at a local scouts headquarters in Slough with their three children, Prince George, nine, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five.
Following last night’s coronation concert, the family spent hours renovating some scout huts for local members to use.

For the occasion, Kate dressed her second child in a practical and pretty pink ensemble.

While she got stuck in painting and archery, Princess Charlotte was pictured in a hot pink cable knit by American fashion house Ralph Lauren.

The £299 form-fitting knit is made from 100 per cent Italian cashmere and features a ribbed hem and cuffs.

Along with her designer jumper, Kate dressed Charlotte in a £15 polo from high street giant Next.

The perfectly matched pale pink top had a pretty ruffled edge at the collar that extended over the top of Charlotte’s crew neck knit.

For the family day of activities, Kate also chose a pair of light blue jeans with a raw edge for her daughter to wear.

In addition, the Princess of Wales also turned to Next for Princess Charlotte’s footwear.

The royal’s £15 sneakers feature a strip of glitter near the heel and also include a metallic star that perfectly matched the hue of Charlotte’s jumper.

Kate also made sure Charlotte’s hair was out of her face by doing it in a half up, down style with two braids.

Last year, the Princess of Wales dressed her daughter in an almost identical outfit for her seventh birthday portrait.

After helping the team renovate their cabin, Charlotte and her brothers also received a yellow and purple Scouts tie to wear.

Prince George wore a practical navy blue puffa jacket with khaki pants, while Prince Louis was adorable in a blue polo and navy blue shorts.

In addition, Kate was seen pushing a wheelbarrow while her youngest son was shoveling sand as they helped redecorate a Slough scout hut.

He then took control and skillfully steered him while his mother supported the weight.

Charlotte was seen elatedly running to help prepare a new path, while George, himself a future king, was seen learning how to use a power drill.

The couple and their three children were out again to celebrate the third day of the king’s coronation and Charles III’s service life.

The Princess of Wales has been co-chair of the Scouts since 2020 and members of the Royal Family have joined volunteers who have recreated a path, dug a new waterway, sanded and repainted the front door, planters at the front of the building added and painted a mural to create a lasting legacy of the Big Help Out’s work.

William and Kate were on hand in support of the Big Help Out, along with other senior royals including the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester.
