‘You’re not fit to wear the shirt!’: Leicester fans FUME after first-half capitulation at Fulham
‘You’re not fit to wear the shirt!’: Leicester fans FUME after their first-half capitulation at Fulham – where they trailed 3-0 in 44 minutes – with away fans ranting at Dean Smith’s men when they went in at intermission
Leicester City fans were furious with their team’s first-half performance, which saw them fall 3–0 to Fulham at Craven Cottage in the opening 44 minutes.
Footage showed visiting fans yelling, “You’re not fit to wear the shirt!” towards the departing Leicester players, who were falling apart.
The result is likely to be crucial in Leicester’s bid to escape relegation from the Premier League – just seven years after their top-flight triumph in the 2015-16 season.
Dean Smith was brought to the club last month to try and get the team out of harm’s way following the sacking of Brendan Rodgers, but performances like this mean there are serious fears the Foxes will make their appeal in the Championship in August.
Earlier this week it was alleged that Swansea manager Russell Martin was a potential target for Leicester if they are relegated to the second tier of English football.
