Wrexham stars were spotted drinking and smoking cigars at the latest pool party in Las Vegas

Wrexham players continued to enjoy the Las Vegas festivities with another pool party.

The club from Wales was promoted from the fifth division of the National League after scoring no less than 111 points.

Wrexham’s owners, Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, have taken a four-day all-expenses-paid trip to the US as a reward for their efforts this season.

Stars have already hit the dance floor at the plush Hakkasan nightclub, swam in the giant pool at the MGM Grand Hotel and dined at the Bellagio.

And players were spotted drinking, smoking cigars, chatting with bikini-clad girls and having fun at their latest pool party in Sin City.

The Marquee Dayclub at the luxury hotel The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas hosted the players, with the cheapest ticket to the DJ Pauly D event having a minimum spend of $1,500 (£1,200). A ‘Grand Cabana’ slot – which seems to be used by Wrexham players – has a minimum spend of $10,000 (£7,900).

The National League champions were told a ‘monster’ side was lurking if they won the league, something they achieved in style with a record 111 points to blast them back to League Two.

True to their word, Hollywood couple Reynolds and McElhenney have arranged a luxurious four-day trip to Las Vegas, with a packed itinerary in anticipation of the football players. It’s going to be the trip of a lifetime and best of all, the players don’t pick up the bill.

“It became a thing that if we won the league, we would get a holiday. So we’re going to Vegas,” said star striker Paul Mullin, who scored 47 goals this season GK.

“Ryan and Rob told us to leave our cards at home, they’re sorting things out. They just sent us a full itinerary. Part of me doesn’t want to go, maybe I’ll be dead at the end! But I’d never go to Vegas on my own accord, so I’m looking forward to it.’

Three days after celebrating the club’s rise to the fourth tier with a parade of open-top buses, the promotion winners got their first taste of the high life in Las Vegas.

After heading to Sin City on Thursday, the festivities got off to a good start with videos surfacing of players on the dance floor of a popular nightclub on the Vegas strip.

The players began their evening at Hakkasan, a contemporary Chinese restaurant in the MGM Grand hotel, where prices for the signature Phoenix menu start at $148. Bottles of champagne, no doubt ordered to toast their successes, cost more than $200.

After a good meal, the top National League side moved to Hakkasan nightclub, where they were greeted by a huge presentation commemorating their successes.

Huge Welsh flags were waved and the club’s name spelled out in neon lights as the champions were welcomed to the city.

On Friday, players tried to cure their hangovers by chilling by the pool that’s part of a luxury hotel on the Las Vegas Strip before heading back into town for the evening.

The entire squad of the team posed for a group photo while holding cardboard signs with the club’s lettering and logo on a sunny, warm day in beautiful weather.

And the extravaganza continued on another fun day over the weekend, with McElhenney, the first of the club’s two Hollywood owners, spotted taking part in the player festivities.

McElhenney joined him Friday night for dinner at famed Las Vegas eatery Spago.

They had previously spent an afternoon partying poolside at the Wet Republic Ultra Pool at the MGM Grand, with the players eager to go wild after their triumphant campaign.

After dinner, the players went to OMNIA nightclub, where they were greeted bombastic.

The packed house in the cavernous nightclub jumped up and down with sparklers waving and huge Welsh flags were waved in tribute to the team’s achievements.

Legendary DJ Steve Aoki stood on the decks, which Ben Tozer later snuck behind to watch the revelers from a good vantage point, and the players led the revelers in a round of chanting in honor of their star targetman Mullin.

Reynolds has yet to appear alongside his squad, but with the revelry far from over, the A-List star could still pop up in the American party capital.

Wrexham’s rising popularity in the US, first fueled by their Hollywood owners and sent through the roof with the launch of the Disney+ docu-series ‘Welcome to Wrexham’, means the champions have received a hero’s welcome on American soil.

The squad will return to the United States in July for a series of friendlies against Chelsea, Manchester United, LA Galaxy II and another team to be confirmed.
