Following the Warriors’ much-needed Game 2 victory over the Lakers, Draymond Green shared a hilarious moment with his son DJ, when the youngster accused his father of lying about a story involving him.
Green spoke onstage after the tying goal in the 127-100 series about having his kids around his basketball career when his son berated him for an apparent lie.
“Last night I was at the gym. He was here with me,” Green said, tapping his son on the head. “They love that.”
DJ made a bewildered face before firing back, “No, that wasn’t me!”
Green smiled before continuing with his point.

“It just pushes you that much harder, knowing they’re watching everything you do.”
Regardless of the veracity of the story, Green made it a point on Thursday show his appreciation because he could have his kids with him at work, calling it “special” to spend that time with them.
“We miss so many moments with our kids,” he said. “And I think that’s every working parent, not just us basketball players. You are obliged to take care of your child.
‘If you can share these moments with them, that’s special. I’ll look back at some of these photos, I’ll look back at some of these interviews and moments, and you just really appreciate them.
“And I’m forever grateful to the Warriors organization and the NBA as a whole for not having to allow our kids here.”
Green also spoke about the positivity that kids bring to the Warriors’ lineup, as teammates Steph Curry and Andrew Wiggins are also fathers.
“We always talk about a child’s energy here, you bring the child’s energy, it just lightens the mood. It’s always so serious, and you do this over and over again.
‘And if you can just get the energy of children here, that’s always special. So I don’t take that for granted.’
The Warriors will face the Lakers in Game 3 on Saturday.
