Heartbreaking reason why Jett Kenny and his dad Grant now both wear lipstick after the tragic loss of Ironman’s daughter Jaimi at age 33
Jett Kenny and his father Grant started wearing red lipstick to support women’s mental health.
Jett took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and his dad wearing different shades of lip color in honor of Liptember.
‘Daddy also shows off his shiny lip! We nominate Karl Stefanovic and Jamo Porter to join us! Let’s get awkward for a good cause guys,” he wrote.
He told his followers to tag him in Liptember to show them their photos.
Jett is the new ambassador for the inaugural Lip-Stick It campaign, encouraging his male followers to wear lipstick on May 11 in support of the women in their lives.
Jett Kenny has found support from father Grant Kenny as they both donned lipstick for Liptember, a women’s mental health charity, following the tragic loss of his sister Jaimi aged 33
“As you all know, my sister Jaimi passed away a few years ago after a long battle with her mental health,” he began a few weeks ago.
“What people don’t know is what goes on behind the closed doors of those families, like mine, who have someone close to them who is struggling with their mental health.”
He continued, “It can also be difficult to know how best to support our friends’ and family’s mental health issues.”
Aussie Ironman Jett wore bright red lipstick in an Instagram post in April as he promoted the Liptember Foundation’s fundraising campaign
“I am therefore pleased to announce that I am the ambassador for the inaugural Lip-Stick It campaign – a new and first Australian fundraising campaign from the Liptember Foundation.”
“On May 11th, we guys will Lip-Stick It to women’s mental health concerns by donning a beautiful shade of lippy to support the women in our lives – stay tuned for more.”
Jett then encouraged his followers to join the campaign and make a donation through the link in his bio.

The Kenny-Curry family announced Jaimi’s death on social media on September 15, 2020, one day after her passing.
It was later reported that Jaimi had been battling alcoholism and an eating disorder before her death at a Sunshine Coast hospital.
