Bruce Springsteen delighted Shane MacGowan with a visit to his home in Dublin.
The Dancing In The Dark singer, 73, who goes by the nickname ‘The Boss’, was seen beaming at The Pogues hitmaker, 65, as he towered over him in an image shared on Twitter by his wife Victoria Mary Clarke on Wednesday .
Taking to the site, Victoria wrote in delight, “What an amazing honor and wonderful experience to have The Boss visit!!! Such a truly amazing man and a total genius!”, while Shane shared the photo and simply wrote “The Boss”.
The iconic American star landed in Dublin before taking the stage for his Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band tour to the RDS Arena on May 5, 7 and 9.
Shane looked healthier than his recent appearances, having suffered ill health at the end of last year. He was taken to hospital in December, after which Victoria asked fans to “send prayers and healing vibes.”

Victoria told the Irish Mirror that Shane finds it “frustrating” and wants out after being admitted last Friday.
She said, “I really hope he gets out this week. He’s a little frustrated, I think. He finds it very frustrating… he wants out.”

The couple have been together for more than 35 years and tied the knot in November 2018 at Copenhagen City Hall in Denmark. The intimate ceremony was attended by their close friend Johnny Depp, who performed.
