While many users seem to have service, others claim that the app and website have been hit by an outage.
Problems appeared around 8 a.m. ET, with tens of thousands of reports pouring into DownDetector, a site that monitors online services for problems.
Twitter’s API status page currently shows that all systems are up and running, but reports of issues are pouring in.
Thousands of messages about a malfunction on Twitter are pouring in
DownDetector’s live US outage map shows problems in the New York, Boston and Southern California area.
Countries such as China, Finland, Greece and Switzerland are also experiencing problems with Twitter.
Twitter was also experiencing issues around 2 a.m. ET, but only a few hundred reports were submitted.
