Court documents provided showed that South and the woman dated for nearly a year before they mutually decided to spend time apart, the agency reported. Illawarra Mercury.

On the morning of Sept. 10 last year, South took coffee to the woman’s home in hopes of rekindling their relationship.

However, he was shocked to see another man standing next to her bed and shouting ‘who the hell are you?’.

The woman moved between South and the other man and asked South to leave.

However, the men got into a scuffle, with South punching the victim several times, causing his head to bleed.

“Stop, stop, get out!” cried the woman. South yelled back at the man, “this is my f***ing missus, you f***!” when he started filming the incident.

He left home, but returned shortly afterwards with a friend. The woman threatened to call triple-0 and ask him to leave again, but South snatched the phone and threw it.

South and the man left, while South uploaded the video he made to social media, which has since been deleted. The police arrested him around 1 pm that same day.

South pleaded guilty to assault and harassment in court.

His lawyer Matt Ward said South had been dealing with recent “devastation in his life” prior to the incident and argued his offense was not premeditated or planned.

Two weeks after the incident, South posted a photo of himself working out at the gym on Facebook with the caption, “Three devastating scenarios in 3 months and I still get up every day and put a smile on my face”
