Dyson’s UK expansion continues as it plans a £100m technology center in Bristol city center
Dyson has revealed it intends to invest £100 million in establishing a technology center in Bristol.
The vacuum cleaner and battery manufacturer said the site in the heart of the port city will house “hundreds of software and AI engineers”, as well as the company’s commercial and e-commerce teams serving Britain and Ireland.
Staff at the site will work on a pipeline of products stretching 10 years into the future, the company added.

The latest investment follows last year’s announcement that it would open a robotics center at the Hullavington Airfield Campus, near Chippenham, in Wiltshire.
Dyson employs over 3,500 people involved in research and development in the UK at sites in Hullavington and Malmesbury, as well as offices in London.
The company also confirmed an investment in an R&D campus in the Philippines costing £166 million.
It also wants to accelerate plans for its next-generation battery plant in Singapore, which will be completed this year and should be operational by 2025.
“The next generation of Dyson battery technology will revolutionize the performance and durability of Dyson machines,” said founder James Dyson.
