Strangers stop me in the street to say I look like Kate Middleton
A mum who’s constantly mistaken for the Princess of Wales “loves the compliment” and says she’d love to play her in The Crown, but not everyone is so convinced.
Dr. Molly Brinkmann, 35, of Franklin, Tennessee, says she’s “always loved” Royal Kate Middleton, 41, and claims strangers regularly mistake her for the princess at first glance.
The mother-of-two sees the resemblance herself and says they have the same style, hair and make-up in the same way.
A ‘fan’ of the Royal Family, Molly plans to attend the King’s coronation and is excited to see what Kate is wearing.
The vet has built up a huge following on TikTok, where she posts videos that give fans a behind-the-scenes look at working with animals and says she gets the most comments about her resemblance to the royal family.

Molly, who lives near Nashville with her husband, Ryan, 35, said: “It’s a compliment to look like her.
‘I’ve always loved her. People say, “Holy cow, you look like Kate” and “You should audition for the Crown”.
“Netflix can always call me. I can be today’s Kate.’
Molly has had strangers tell her she looks like Kate Middleton for years, but said she understands it more now after posting videos on TikTok.
She said, “I’ve been personally told for years that I look like her. Strangers come up and say, “You look like Kate”.
Molly recalls an incident where strangers asked her or her husband Ryan (left) if royalty was in his blood as he looks like he could be part of the royal family.

‘They say ‘for a moment I thought you were her’. My TikTok exploded and people started saying it online.”
She says she can see the resemblance “a little bit,” but as she’s gotten older, the resemblance has become more apparent.
Molly said, ‘As I get older, my looks are more like her. Our hair and style are very similar.
“When I’ve curled my hair it looks more like hair and we do our makeup the same way.
‘I do see the similarities a bit.
‘I think she’s beautiful. It’s nice and flattering to be compared to her.’
Molly is also compared to other famous Kates, but doesn’t see the similarities with them.
She said, “I’m getting Kate Upton and Kate Hudson. I do not see it. We are very different.
“It’s so funny — it’s all Kate.”

However, not everyone online can see the similarities with one of her 154,400 TikTok followers even accusing others of lying about the similarity.
One wrote in response to a fan who thought Molly was Kate Middleton: “Princess Kate is much prettier.”
While another wrote underneath, a follower who also thought she looked like the Princess of Wales: ‘Why you gotta lie’.
Molly’s husband Ryan, who teaches personal finance, agrees with the resemblance and was even told he looked like royalty.
Molly said, “He’s like ‘yeah sure’ when people say I look like her.” He doesn’t look like a William.

“These women turned to us once and said to him, ‘is there royalty in your blood?’
“It was so random. We asked why and they said about Ryan, “you look like you could be part of a royal family.”
Molly is theater trained and would like to play Kate in Netflix’s The Crown.
She joked, “Someone needs to call me.”
Molly will follow US Royal superfans as they visit the UK for the coronation.
