Alolan Geodude actually had its own Community Day in May 2022, that much pokemon go collectors probably have a shiny or two of that event. Alolan Graveler is a great rock-type attacker when it comes to gyms and raids, although he is outclassed by many other rock-type Pokémon, such as Tyranitar and Rhyperior.

What is the shiny rate for Alolan Geodude in Pokémon Go?

According to The Silph Road, the gloss level for Pokémon is about one in 500 on a typical day. At the time of writing, the jury is out on Alolan Geodude’s gloss level. While other Alolan Pokémon have a higher gloss rating (1 in 64), there isn’t enough data on Alolan Geodude to confirm this or not.

What can I do to attract more Shiny Pokémon?

Not much, unfortunately. It seems to be a coincidence. Shiny Pokémon catch rates are determined by developer Niantic and usually only increase during special events like Community Days or Safari Zones, or in Legendary Raids. There are no consumables that increase the speed of Shiny Pokémon.
