Snoop Dogg wants to become part owner of the Ottawa Senators for sale, which he in turn confirms Instagram Monday.

The Dogg has already joined Neko Sparks in a rival bid for the group, reportedly featuring Hollywood actor and Wrexham co-owner Ryan Reynolds.

Snoop reaffirmed his interest in the team, but in delivering a broader, saner purpose.

“Amazing what @neko_sparks is trying to do in Ottawa and I look forward to being part of that ownership team. I WANT TO BRING HOCKEY TO OUR COMMUNITY,” he wrote.

This is reported by an anonymous source, quoted by The athleticis Snoop “passionately involved.”

He comes with ideas. And he’s legitimately excited,” an athletic source said of Snoop’s involvement. “He wants this team.”

The report states that the Sparks-led consortium would be the “most diverse ownership group the NHL has ever seen” and includes more than 12 investors, most of them people of color.

There has been no mention of Snoop’s potential stake in the Senators, should their bid be successful.

However, it does state that The Doggfather would be attending games throughout the 2023-24 season and offering his much-loved services to the TSN broadcast booth.
