Jackie ‘O’ Henderson reveals a fire broke out at Kyle Sandilands’ wedding

Kyle Sandilands’ extravagant marriage to Tegan Kynaston nearly ended in disaster.

Speaking The Kyle and Jackie O Show On Monday, co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson revealed that a fire broke out and a table was set on fire during Sandilands’ speech.

She had actually predicted such a disaster during a tarot card reading days before Sandilands tied the knot with Kynaston on Saturday afternoon.

“I’ve read tarot cards [for] predictions of the day and a lot of them were wrong, but there was one that was right,” says Henderson, 48.

“I drew the tower card, which is a really bad card to draw, and it’s basically people falling dead off a tower or, uh, you know, there’s a fire.”

The card’s predictions seemed to come true, as a tower of champagne glasses was toppled before the wedding began.

However, event staff quickly rebuilt the tower outside the marquee, despite torrential rain.

Another incident occurred during Sandilands’ reception speech, when a candle got stuck on decorative pearls on one of the tables, causing flames to erupt.

“Kitty starts poking me [to tell me] the table is on fire,” Henderson said.

“Those massive pearls that were on some kind of chain… I think they were filled with foam inside and it caught fire. They all started to catch fire. Real flames went up.’

Henderson explained that she informed another guest, who helped put out the fire.

Sandilands spared no expense to impress its 130 guests, featuring a grand marquee, multiple decorative chandeliers, a five-story wedding cake, and a revolving photo booth normally used at red carpet events.

Guests also ate shrimp, caviar and oyster mushrooms before sitting down to a three-course dinner.

The star-studded guest list included Karl Stefanovic and his wife Jasmine, as well as Kings Cross nightclub identity John Ibrahim and his model girlfriend Sarah Budge.

The wedding took place at the Swifts Mansion in Darling Point, a late Victorian Gothic Revival residence with a $60 million price tag.
