  • The suspects pulled a bag over the woman’s head and tied the couple up

An elderly Asian couple was tied up and robbed in their million-dollar Bel Air home before the suspects made off with their safe and wiped surfaces with bleach to cover their tracks.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. Saturday at the 1300 block of Casiano Road in the posh suburb of Los Angeles, when the suspects reportedly stormed in while the couple were watching television.

The elderly husband was reportedly hit on the head several times with an unknown object while the woman was being held.

“They put a bag over her head and went in for four hours and they fingerprinted everything,” neighbor Amy Rahbar told KTLA about the thieves.

Police are currently looking for the suspects who terrorized the elderly duo and are asking the public for help in identifying the perpetrators.

Police were called to the scene for reports of a robbery in progress and arrived to find the couple, described as a man in his 70s and a woman in his 60s, injured.

According to Rahbar, who spoke to the couple’s son, the thieves seized a vulnerable moment when the door of the house was reportedly open.

“I met their son this morning and he was very worried and upset,” the neighbor said the outlet Saturday.

“His mother was watching TV and she had the door ajar,” Rahbar said.

The home is in expensive Bel Air, where homes on the same block can cost several million dollars. It is not known how much money was taken from the victims.

It’s unclear at this point if the pair were targeted by the thieves or if the thieves were looking for possible cash grabs in the area.

Rahbar said she knows the couple’s small grandchildren often stay at the house, but they were not inside at the time of the robbery.

“They’re nice neighbors and it’s a shame to hear what’s going on,” she said.

The pair suffered non-life-threatening injuries and did not require hospital treatment.

The suspects who bleached the house on their way out remain at large as police search surveillance footage from the area.

Police are currently asking that anyone with information about the incident contact 877-527-3247 immediately.
