BGT EXCLUSIVE: Amanda Holden suggests a One Direction-style band but with dogs

Amanda Holden comes up with a quirky idea for a new act in scenes airing this Saturday’s episode of Britain’s Got Talent.

An exclusive clip from the episode shows the talent show judge, 52, pitching the idea of ​​putting together a “dog bond” to her fellow panelist.

After a day of seeing acts from around the country giving their best, Amanda said, “That gave me an idea, why don’t we try and put a dog band together now.”

While Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli laughed off the suggestion, show boss Simon wanted to know more.

“So, what we did with One Direction, you want to do with dogs?” the mogul clarified, to which his friend confirmed.

The newest judge Bruno laughed at Amanda’s suggestion, while Simon thought about it.

The talent show is never short of dog acts, with pup Pudsey – who was a Border Collie, Bichon Frize and Chinese Crested powderpuff mix – even winning in 2012 with his owner Ashleigh.

While One Direction formed during the series of The X Factor in 2010, with Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan as solo acts before the judges decided to put them together.

Upcoming scenes of Saturday’s episode featured the host of The Heart Breakfast standing in the theater wings during the auditions, as Ant and Dec excitedly told Amanda and her fellow judges that they picked out some new music for them to to walk on stage.

While Amanda predicted she would walk in front of the crowd to a song from a West End show and Simon insisted his 1997 hit Barbie Girl would be Aqua, the two were wrong, as former Strictly Come Dancing star jury member Bruno was welcomed. Ant and Dec’s tune.

Alesha walked out next, dressed in a pink pantsuit, while Amanda and Simon watched from the wings.
