Antonio Brown announces ‘return’ to NFL with Ravens, but team has said nothing about signing him

Antonio Brown is returning to the NFL – at least according to his Twitter account.

The embattled wide receiver posted a photo of himself in a Baltimore Ravens jersey on Friday, captioning the post, “Excited to return to the NFL this year. #RavensFlock.’

The only problem is that the team hasn’t said anything about the alleged signing, while Ravens’ photo appears to be a photoshopped mock-up of a previously took with the Raiders.

Ravens spokespersons did not immediately respond to a request for comment from DailyMail.com.

While it seems unlikely that Brown will go to Baltimore, that doesn’t mean the Ravens have been sitting still on their offense.

Three-time Pro Bowl receiver Odell Beckham Jr. was signed to a one-year, $15 million deal earlier this month and fellow wideout Zay Flowers was picked by the team on Thursday with the number 22 pick of the NFL Draft.

A Miami-Dade County judge ordered the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to arrest Antonio Brown on April 14 on claims of unpaid child support up to $33,260.58

Most importantly, quarterback Lamar Jackson and the team finally agreed to a contract extension, with the parties agreeing to a five-year, $260 million deal earlier this week.

Brown’s Ravens’ post comes a week after a Florida judge ordered police to arrest him for unpaid child support of up to $33,260.58, despite the NFL retiree claiming on social media to have paid the amount in full.

The order was issued by a Miami-Dade County judge on April 14 after the 34-year-old Brown allegedly avoided payments he should have sent to his ex, Wiltrice Jackson, according to court documents seized by TMZ Sports .

However, on Friday, the 2021 Super Bowl champion shared a photo of a receipt on his Instagram page, showing that he ended up paying the five-figure amount to Florida Child Support.

“Everyone wants to see me fail, that’s why I have to be great!!!” the former Buccaneers, Patriots, Raiders and Steelers receiver captioned his post.

While Brown won the 2021 Super Bowl with the Bucs and was named to seven Pro Bowls, he’s been in the news for all the wrong reasons in recent years.

In 2018, “AB” was charged with throwing furniture off a balcony at his Florida apartment complex when a 22-month-old child was nearly hit by some of the debris on the patio below. He eventually settled that lawsuit.

In addition, he settled a sexual assault lawsuit with a former personal trainer who claimed he exposed himself to her and raped her in 2021. In 2020, a mover was awarded $1.2 million in damages after accusing Brown of assaulting him during a disagreement.

Separately, Victor Prisk, a Pittsburgh physician whom Brown worked with while with the Steelers, also sued Brown for “farting in his face” and $11,500 in unpaid fees in 2018.

In January 2020, after several domestic incidents involving police being called to Brown’s home in Hollywood, Florida, police stated that they no longer wanted Brown involved in their youth league (PAL).

In 2022, Brown’s name was involved in further controversy after he allegedly exposed himself to a woman at the Armani Hotel in Dubai, specifically by the pool.

That same year, in December, the Tampa Police Department attempted to serve Brown with an arrest warrant on domestic violence charges related to an incident with his ex-fiancé from the previous month in which he threw a shoe at her during an argument with her.

And in January, Snapchat suspended Brown’s account after he posted an explicit photo of a woman performing oral sex on him.
