Bride is devastated as not one but TWO guests turn up to her bid day wearing white
Bride is devastated after TWO guests in white show up on her big day – one of them in an actual wedding dress
A bride cried on her special day when she saw not one but two guests wearing white at her wedding party.
It’s widely considered a big no-no to wear white to someone else’s wedding, but for two women at the Bolivian bride’s reception, wedding etiquette went out the window.
Caught on camera by fellow guest Isabella Santos Giha, the double fashion faux pas caused a stir on TikTok, where it received over 20,000 comments — the vast majority of which were quite scathing.
The videowhich quickly went viral with over 16 million views in a single day, shows one of the women in question in a long white lace dress, while the other is pictured sitting in what Isabella describes as “a legit wedding dress.”
And white with appliqué flowers and a tulle skirt, it would be hard to prove it wasn’t a dress destined for someone’s own big day.
Isabella Santos Giha, who shot the video, pointed out that one of the guests was wearing a real wedding dress in white
In a post below the video, Isabella appealed to viewers, “Please never wear WHITE to anyone’s wedding. It’s sad and disrespectful.’
Her message resonates especially in the final frame where the bride wears her beautiful bejeweled gown, yet looks tearful.
Posting comments like “I wouldn’t be sad because I damn well know my guests would throw all the shade so I don’t have to, and I’d look graceful because I wasn’t bothered,” TikTok users rallied behind the bride.
The video, which quickly went viral, drew more than 20,000 comments, some of which incited revenge in the form of red wine
TikTok commentators almost always sympathized with the bride, sharing their own stories of rogue wedding guests and family feuds
Others took the opportunity to share their own stories of wedding guests going rogue and feuding with families, with one commenting, “I didn’t know this was a thing until my mother-in-law tried wearing a white lace dress.”
“I said no when I accidentally saw it…but then my aunt and cousin both wore white dresses.”
However, one of the top comments, which received more than 40,000 likes on the platform, encouraged action. It simply said, “Red wine.”
Many more agreed that some kind of revenge was needed, with one writing “Oops, I spilled my drink on you” and another saying she would kick out the guests who dared to wear white.
