Vick Hope recalls being ‘cruel to herself’ during body image struggles
Vick Hope has detailed her battle with body confidence issues, revealing that she underwent therapy sessions to “learn to love” her figure.
The radio host, 33, recalls this week being “cruel” to herself while trying to “fit” into the celebrity world during her younger years.
But after “growing a lot,” the star, who is engaged to DJ Calvin Harris, is now happy in her own skin and embracing her body.
Vick admits that she would be “naked all the time” if possible and has shared that she sleeps in her birthday suit even now.
“One thing I’ve become over the last few years is very confident about the body, because I wasn’t before,” says the BBC Radio 1 personality.

“And it’s been through a lot of therapy, a lot of growth, learning to love my body.” Honestly, I’d love to be naked if I could all the time,” she continued.
“I tried wearing pajamas for a while and in the morning discovered I was naked and my pajamas were folded up at the foot of my bed. So in my sleep I’ve even known this is wrong, and I’ve come out, folded them up and put them away, thinking, ‘No, no, no, this isn’t for me.’
Looking back on her time as a young student at Cambridge University, Vick explained that this was a time of self-confidence struggles.
She recalled the time of the second guess, saying, “I struggled a lot with my image — actually, I was very cruel to myself and my body for trying to fit a mold.”
“When I started loving how I looked, it was when I stopped caring so much about how I looked – when I realized how important my friends are, my friendships, my relationships.”
As for relationships, it looks like Vick is heading towards a milestone in her own life this year.
Recent reports claim that she will marry beau Calvin Harris in an intimate ceremony this year.
