  • Luz Maida, three, was sold for cocaine to her mother’s drug dealer boyfriend
  • Tragic CCTV footage shows her being taken away before being killed

When three-year-old Luz Maida was woken up in the middle of the night by her mother and pushed into a man’s arms, she couldn’t understand what was going on.

The little girl was unaware that her mother Aurelia Salinas, 42, had just sold her to her boyfriend, a drug dealer, so she could get her hands on £10 worth of crack cocaine.

Tragic CCTV footage shows Luz being taken away early Friday morning in Pedro Juan Caballero, Paraguay, by her mother’s boyfriend before being raped and murdered.

Just over 24 hours later, Luz’s small and bloodied body was found by shocked neighbors in an abandoned house, their screams filling the air.

Luz, who often wore a blue dress with Frozen characters on it, had been betrayed by her own mother – all for 30 pieces of crack cocaine.

Heartbreaking CCTV footage shows Luz trying to escape the clutches of Salinas’ boyfriend as he carries her away from her childhood home.

While making his way across a broken trail, the dealer carries Luz in one arm and appears to hit her with his free hand to stop her squirming.

The dealer, who has not been named, proceeded to rape and murder the three-year-old, who had not yet attended school. According to initial reports, she died of suffocation.

Her tiny corpse was discovered, wrapped in a shirt, on top of a bed in an abandoned house.

Enraged locals reportedly tried to lynch her Salinas when she was arrested after allegedly confessing to police her involvement in her daughter’s murder.

Her boyfriend later confessed to the murder, according to local media.

Salinas first told police that Luz had disappeared while she slept, but admitted to selling her daughter for drugs after police discovered the CCTV footage.

Both Salinas and her boyfriend were arrested, along with a 17-year-old also reportedly linked to the crime.

According to police, Salinas was under the influence of drugs and seemed unconcerned as police searched for the girl.

More than 300 local residents attended Luz’s funeral, and some neighbors later burned down the house where her body was found.

Investigators said the family had a “history of tragedies.”

Salinas has seven other children, including a 12-year-old girl whom she allegedly had sexually assaulted by a 30-year-old man.

Both cases are currently under investigation.
