The Jacksonville Jaguars will be without Cam Robinson for several games early in the season after the left tackle violated the NFL’s performance-enhancing drug policy, reports said.

The 27-year-old faces a multi-match ban and the exact number is yet to be determined after breaking the rules, reports ESPN.

Robinson agreed a big deal last season, signing a three-year, $52.75 million contract after the team used the franchise tag on him in March 2022.

He sat out the last three games of the most recent season due to a meniscus injury in his knee.

Walker Little took his place for the remaining weeks of the season, including the two playoff games, and the team expected him to be healthy again for the new season.

Jacksonville GM Trent Baalke, when asked if Robinson would be back for summer training camp, replied, “From a health standpoint, yes.”

The news comes on opening day of the NFL Draft, which opens tonight.

Robinson’s impending ban will likely affect the Jaguars’ approach.

The Jaguars rewarded defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton following his career year last season, with NFL Network reporting Wednesday that the parties agreed on a $34.5 million three-year extension.

According to the report, Hamilton will earn $23 million in guaranteed salary from the new deal with potential incentives that could push the contract to $36 million.

He will earn $18.7 million in the first year of renewal.

Hamilton, 26, started a career-best 14 of his 17 games in the 2022 season as he set career highs in tackles (56), tackles for loss (five) and sacks (2.5).

In his first three seasons with the Jaguars, who drafted him in the third round of the 2020 draft from Ohio State, Hamilton has produced 132 tackles (nine for loss) and 4.5 sacks in 44 games (28 starts).
