A £360,000 bespoke Porsche reportedly owed to American golf star Patrick Reed has been auctioned off on a salvage website, sparking a mystery over how the vehicle became badly damaged.
The 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS was featured on the website Co parta car auction company that resells new, used, and salvaged cars.
Copart confirmed damage throughout the vehicle, with photos of a smashed front bumper on the driver’s side, exposing the wheel.
Both sides of the car suffered extensive damage, including to the roof, with the photos also showing the airbags deployed in an apparent crash.
The damage was sustained with only 361 miles on the clock.

Extensive damage to the interior of the car was also shown, which has now been auctioned for £106,000
Joe Pompliano reported that the car belongs to Liv Golf star Reed.
The American golfer had revealed that he bought a ‘Commemorative Masters’ Porsche GT2RS in 2019.
Only 1,000 of the limited edition supercars are reportedly made in the United States, with the vehicle identification number matching Reed’s vehicle.
The custom design matches photos the 32-year-old posted to Instagram in 2019.
Reed bought the custom car after his win at the 2018 Masters, where he claimed the first major of his career.
He received $1.98 million (£1.59 million) in prize money for the win.
According to Golf weekhad Reed modify the car to match the green jacket, which is famously given to tournament winners at Augusta National.
Photos of Reed’s car in 2019 show the vehicle in a green color, complete with yellow trim and brake calipers.

Reed has yet to confirm whether the vehicle listed on the recovery website is his and what the circumstances are that caused the extensive damage to the car.
The car has now sold at auction for $132,000 (£106,000).
Reed had put in a strong performance at this year’s Masters, with the American finishing fourth in the tournament earlier this month.
At the finish, Reed earned $744,000 (£597.00).
The American is one of the most prominent members of LIV Golf, the Saudi-backed breakaway series that rivals the PGA Tour.
