I’m a mother who’s had a tummy tuck and breast lift – here’s what they don’t tell you
A mom has taken to TikTok to talk about her experience getting a tummy tuck and breast lift.
Keli Kern, from Niceville, Florida, went to the social media platform to reveal things about her operations that people don’t necessarily talk about.
She had surgery 11 days ago and has shared the bizarre things she’s been through since, including massaging her nipples to make sure the flesh doesn’t die.
Another thing she didn’t expect was that she would lose feeling in her stomach, which is now numb and she can’t feel anything but pressure on the area.
And she’s even discovered that after some adjustment to her “lady parts,” she goes to the toilet differently.
Keli Kern, from Niceville, Florida, took to the social media platform to reveal things about her operations that people don’t necessarily talk about
Keli said, “Now today I want to talk about a few things they don’t tell you before you get a tummy tuck.
“Not only is this something people talk about, I think, but because of who I am as a person, I’m not embarrassed, so I’ll tell you.
‘First of all, you have to resuscitate your nipples when you get a (breast) lift. They literally cut out your nipples and replace them higher up when you get a lift.
“You have to resuscitate them, every 30 minutes I have to press my nipples for 15 seconds. That’s weird, but you know what? No matter what I do, I don’t want my nipples to die.”
The mother then talks about the abdominoplasty she had and how her body has changed.
She said, ‘Let’s talk about the fact that you can’t feel your stomach. You feel pressure, but the feeling is gone.
“So if it itches, you can scratch it and it doesn’t really fix the scratch, I wasn’t prepared for that.”
“Here’s a nice one, let’s talk about our lady, yes, the lady bits down there.” When you do the tummy tuck, they cut out a whole piece of skin and then they pull up and down and tighten the skin.
“Well, you don’t really think about it beforehand, but when they pull up the hypodermis, your anatomy changes.
Speaking of her tummy tuck, Keli said, “Let’s talk about the fact that you can’t feel your belly. You can feel pressure, but the feeling is gone’
“So when you first sit down to pee and your stream goes this way or this way or hits your butt and you think how did that happen?”
“That’s because you literally moved everything, it stands. That said, when it’s on it looks different – it’s like “hey girl.”
“Every time you’re naked, it’s like you’re standing there. Maybe he looked at me before kids, but it’s kind of strange, I must admit.
“I actually liked it better when she looked at the floor, but now everything is looking at you.”
In another videoKeli shared some more information about tummy tucks.
She said she hadn’t pooped in four days, and when it finally did, she struggled to wipe herself.
She said, “You can’t swipe, do you know why?” You can’t turn. So if you’re a swipe of the back girl like me, you can’t do it.
“I’ve had to learn to wipe from the front.”
Viewers took to her original video to comment on Keli’s experience.
