F1 driver Fernando Alonso responds to rumours he is dating newly-single Taylor Swift

Fernando Alonso has responded to rumors that he’s dating Taylor Swift by playing her music in a cheeky TikTok video.

The F1 driver, 41, took to the video-sharing platform on Monday to cryptically respond to rumors he is dating the pop star, 33.

It comes after he had a romantic relationship with Taylor, who recently split from Joe Alwyn, in an Instagram post shared by the anonymous celebrity gossip DeuxMoi.

Boldly alluding to the rumours, Fernando took to TikTok to share a video of himself scrolling through his phone with Taylor’s hit Karma playing in the background.

He then looked up and winked at the camera while cryptically addressing the rumours, driving fans wild.

Fernando captioned the post: “Race week era,” in a nod to Taylor’s current tour – titled Eras.

To add to the rumours, Fernando also took to the comments section to write, “Feeling 33,” seemingly referring to Taylor’s hit 22.

Taylor is also 33 years old, but Fernando – who recently split from girlfriend Andrea Schlager – referred instead to his hopes of his 33rd F1 win in his next race.

His latest post caused a frenzy among fans and many speculated if it meant he was dating Taylor, with others sharing funny comments with Taylor’s lyrics.

“Oh my god Taylor X Fernando confirmed????” one noted.

“Fernando, confirm or deny, a mastermind has been written about you,” another asked, referring to a popular song on Taylor’s latest album Midnights.

“Never in our wildest dreams did we think this would happen,” Formula 1’s TikTok page jokingly wrote, referring to Taylor’s 2014 hit.

“Ohhhh Fernando knows all too well what he’s doing,” another humorously wrote.

Fernando and Taylor were first hit with rumors when DeuxMoi took to Instagram to share an anonymous email suggesting they had started dating.

It said, “A few Spanish magazines have posted about TS [Swift] and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso.

According to them, the couple has been dating for a week now. Nothing serious, because they’re both newly single.’

In 2018, Fernando said his dedication to auto racing left him with “no friends, no family, no free time, no privacy, no wife and no children.”

The rumors come after it emerged earlier this month that Taylor and her actor boyfriend Joe, 32, had split after six years together.

Since news of their split, Joe has sparked romance rumors with Emma Laird after the actress, 24, shared a picture of him on social media.

Emma filmed The Brutalist in Hungary with Joe and she took to Instagram this week to share a slew of photos, including one of Joe on a scooter on a night out.

She captioned the snap, “Moments in March,” along with a red heart emoji.

Emma has since turned off comments on the post after being inundated with messages from social media users about Joe’s photo.

Seemingly siding with Taylor, her friends — including her brother, Gigi Hadid, and the Haim sisters — have all clicked unfollow on Instagram amid their shock breakup.

Many Swifties — her loyal and eagle-eyed fans — claim that some of Taylor’s besties reportedly cut ties on Instagram shortly after being spotted hanging out with Taylor.

Shortly after spending time with the Midnights singer, supermodel Gigi and the three Haim sisters all reportedly unfollowed The Favorite star.

It comes after DailyMail.com exclusively revealed that Taylor’s unparalleled star power played a role in the end of her relationship with Joe.

A source close to the singer said: “Most important to the problems in their relationship was Taylor’s career taking precedence over Joe’s – which can be uncomfortable for a couple if it’s not balanced.”

“This drove them apart and eventually they both realized they weren’t on the same page anymore.”

The insider said, “It’s been hard for Joe to make it in Hollywood and not really become leading material while dating one of the most famous women in the world for the past six years.

“It was easier during the pandemic when it was just the two of them, but when things got back to normal, Taylor Swift emerged the superstar and their differences became even more apparent.

“They really tried their best and tried everything they could, but in the end they couldn’t save the relationship,” the source concludes.

News of the couple’s split broke earlier this month, but a source told ET that Joe and Taylor split amicably “a few weeks” earlier.

“The relationship was just running its course,” the insider added. ‘Therefore [Joe] has not been spotted at any show.’
