Karl’s outing comes after he had a “midlife crisis” live on air.
The TV star, 48, recently pretended to be upset when Sarah introduced a segment about ‘staying fit and healthy in your golden years’.
Karl insisted that ’50 is the new 40′, telling Sarah, ‘It’s not golden fifties, it’s only fifties. 50 is the new 40!’
‘It’s not ‘golden’. Gold is 80 and above!’ he mocked.
Sarah cheekily told Karl to keep his “midlife crisis” off the air, before two women waiting to be interviewed for the segment assured him, “60 is the new 40!”
Karl recently overhauled his lifestyle and lost some weight, having previously vowed to lose 20 pounds in 10 weeks by 2020.
“I started at 105kg, the heaviest I’ve ever been and it was incredibly embarrassing,” said Karl, speaking to obesity expert Dr. Nick Fuller, who helped him on his fitness journey.
“I would like to go back to 90kg at the end of all this. You don’t think that’s important, but to me it’s a big psychological thing.”
