A man with a passion for food has shared the ‘pinch me’ moment when his new range of tasty desserts became an instant hit at Woolworths a day after it was launched in stores.

Nick Vavitis, from Melbourne with over 100,000 followers on Instagram, was completely shocked by the unexpected success.

The 29-year-old was ‘unemployed’ during the Brisbane Covid lockdown two years ago and started working on his Choclt brand before returning to his hometown.

Nick told FEMAIL that he can finally launch his brand in one of Australia’s largest supermarkets, and that means ‘everything’ to him.

“I get so much joy and happiness when I see people try my products and I’ve always dreamed of launching them in Woolworths,” he said.

The new range currently includes a $12 red velvet brownie and a cookie and cream brownie, as well as a $20 cheesecake cookie cake with caramel cookies.

Nick said the three new desserts are inspired by some of his personal favorite flavors and treats.

Foodies have been raging on social media in recent days over the “delicious” treats, which Nick describes as “incredible.”

“It feels like a real pinch-me moment,” he said.

‘I have to the [social media] tags come through and it filled me with so much happiness and joy to see people enjoying my desserts.

“It’s kind of unreal to think I’ve gone from handing out desserts to my friends to being in Woolies now in two years.”

Nick carefully chose what to make and felt there was a shortage of red velvet desserts in Australia, so he created his own.

He chose a brownie with cookies and cream because it’s one of his “all-time favorite flavors,” while the cheesecake pie features a “unique twist” with the taste of caramel and cookie texture.

Others have urged customers to “don’t walk into Woolies but bump into them” to try the desserts, with some shelves in certain stores completely emptied.

Nick responded accordingly on Instagram by sharing his excitement.

“WOWWWWWW THANK YOU EMPTY SHELVES AFTER ONE DAY,” he wrote on Friday.

“I’m doing my best to get back to everyone, but I just want to give a huge thank you to everyone who bought a brownie or cookie cake today.

‘The love for this brand is INCREDIBLE!! I am so excited to hear everyone’s reviews and thoughts again. I love you all so much and thank you!!’

A number of foodies also boasted about the desserts on TikTok, with Sydney vlogger Samantha calling the treats “the best.”

“These are honestly a 10 out of 10,” she said in a clip.

The desserts are available in 990 Woolworths stores nationwide.
