F1 legend Fernando Alonso pours fuel on rumours he’s dating Taylor Swift with hilarious video

Two-time Formula 1 world champion Fernando Alonso has responded to rumors that he is in a relationship with Taylor Swift by posting a video of him winking while listening to one of the pop superstar’s hit songs.

The 41-year-old Spaniard was first romantically linked to Swift last week in an Instagram post on the DeuxMoi Instagram account, which quoted an anonymous email: “A few Spanish magazines have posted about TS [Swift] and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso.

According to them, the couple has been dating for a week now. Nothing serious, because they’re both newly single.’

Swift made headlines when she split from his long-term boyfriend Joe Alwyn earlier this month, around the same time Alonso revealed he had parted ways with his girlfriend Andrea Schlager.

The TikTok video of the F1 icon shows him scrolling through his phone with Swift’s hit song “Karma” playing as he looks up and winks at the camera.

He commented on “Feeling 33” with a smiley emoji in what is believed to be a reference to Swift’s song “22” and captioned the post “Race week era” in a nod to the pop star’s current Eras tour.

DeuxMoi’s Instagram post was posted in a section where content is marked “for entertainment purposes only” and came with the disclaimer “some of the emails posted are complete BS” – but that didn’t stop fans from getting carried away by Alonso’s reaction.

“Oh my god Taylor X Fernando confirmed????” one commented on TikTok.

“Fernando, please confirm or deny that the brain is written about you,” another asked, referring to a song on Swift’s latest album, Midnights.

“Never in our wildest dreams did we think this would happen,” said another fan, referring to Swift’s 2014 hit.

The 33-year-old and Alwyn were together for six years after they reportedly met at the Met Gala in 2016 and their relationship was marked by many rumors that they were engaged – or even secretly married.

It wasn’t until more than a year after they met that they were photographed together in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2017.

According to US Weekly, during their first years together, they sometimes put on disguises to visit each other or go on unnoticed outings together. She made regular under-the-radar trips to his home city of London.

In October 2018, Joe told British Vogue that the secrecy surrounding their relationship was intentional.

“I know people want to know that side of things. I think we’ve been successful privately,” he said.

Alonso and sports commentator Schlager also kept their romance out of the public eye as much as possible after they reportedly met through Formula 1.

The Aston Martin driver shared the news of their split on Instagram, writing: “We wanted to tell you that our relationship as a couple has ended.

“We’ve been lucky enough to have a fantastic time together, and will continue to do so, but on a different form of affection.”

Alonso has also previously had relationships with Carolina Costa, Dasha Kapustina and most recently Linda Morselli.

Despite his past loves, Alonso has no children. In 2018, he said his dedication to the sport left him with “no friends, no family, no free time, no privacy, no wife and no children.”
