A hooded thug is being hunted by detectives after he was filmed kicking his dog on a north London street.
The tracksuit in brute was filmed attacking the cowering animal in broad daylight, by a passenger on the back of a double-decker bus.
The yob is seen pulling his dog on a leash, before kicking it in the head, in a video filmed by a shocked member of the public from the safety of the departing bus.
The RSPCA is now investigating the incident, which took place on Hazellville Road in Islington, north London at 4.10pm on March 26, after the witness reported it to the animal welfare organisation.
Nicola Thomas, an animal rescue officer with the RSPCA, said the charity hopes locals will come forward with information.

“This is a very distressing incident and we are concerned for the dog’s welfare,” said Thomas.
“We hope that by releasing this footage someone will come forward with information so we can check on the dog,” she added.

Locals quickly noticed that the man – who appears in the video in a light gray tracksuit – was wearing only socks during the attack.
The video shows the brutal assailant holding his dog’s leash in one hand and a pair of black slippers in the other.
Danielle Freeborn said the man’s lack of shoes could be a clue to where he lives.
“Must live a block next to where he walked,” Freeborn said. “I wonder if the RSPCA noticed he’s wearing socks.”
Added Hayley Ormsby: “I really, really hope someone kicks him badly.”
Carolyn Watson echoed this, saying, “I hope someone knows him and gives him a good kick, you cowardly bastard.”
In a statement, the RSPCA said it is appealing for information as it called on all witnesses to confidentially contact the charity on 0300 123 8018.
