Amy Schumer gives newlyweds an extra dose of ‘good luck’ as she hilariously crashes their wedding photos in Brooklyn
Amy Schumer gave a young Brooklyn couple an extra dose of “good luck” this weekend when she crashed their wedding photos.
The comedian, 41 – who recently looked stunning in a flowing floral dress – was dressed in green leggings and an orange ‘1973’ sweater as she approached the newlyweds as they were taking photos.
Sitting next to them on a couch, Schumer smiled and gifted the couple with a very special reminder to begin their union.
The happy couple posted their photo to Instagram, giving the Inside Amy Schumer star a grateful shoutout in the caption.
It must be lucky if @amyschumer crashes your wedding. She just walked up to us and asked to be in some pictures. Love her even more now #amyschumer #1973.”

Amy went on to share the couple’s post on her own Instagram story, adding a few humorous skull emojis.
As of 2018, Schumer has been married to chef and farmer Chris Fischer, 42, with whom she shares a child, a three-year-old son named Gene.
Amy has been open about her husband being diagnosed with autism later in life, describing it as him “getting a superpower.”
During an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show last year, Schumer joked that “all his behavior is kind of excusable now.
“If someone tells a long, boring story, they immediately walk away. He just wanders off and I’m still stuck there.”
The Life and Beth star went on to say, “People just don’t know much about autism. They say, “Oh, does he like counting? Should we drop a bunch of straws on the floor and will he count them?”‘
Describing the silver lining of her husband’s diagnosis, Amy told DeGeneres, “It’s really given us so many helpful tools.”
“I think it’s a good thing for people to watch it and get tested so you don’t spend your whole life feeling like you’re bad or wrong…my favorite people are on the spectrum.”

Candid Romance: “You don’t just get diagnosed and then they throw you out,” Amy told Seth Meyers in 2019. “The tools we’ve been given have made his life so much better and made our marriage and life more manageable”
During a 2019 appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, Schumer combated the “stigma” surrounding autism by talking about the ways her husband’s diagnosis had positively impacted their marriage.
“You don’t just get diagnosed and then they throw you out,” she told Meyers. “The tools we’ve been given have made his life so much better and made our marriage and life more manageable. So I just wanted to encourage people not to be afraid of that stigma.”
In October, the star opened for People about being away from their son Gene for work while promoting the new season of Inside Amy Schumer.
“I just want to be with him as much as possible,” she explained to the outlet during the New York premiere of her sketch comedy series. ‘I am very grateful that I can work and also have time for myself. But it’s brutal. It hurts. I mean, like, there’s no way. It’s a painful thing.’
