Ronna McDaniel blasts Joe Biden over crime, immigration failures

Joe Biden’s administration has run a large-scale crime and immigration crisis, the Republican Party chairman claims.

Ronna McDaniel lashed out at the 80-year-old’s track record over the past four years in a speech at Ronald Reagan’s presidential library in California.

President Ronald Reagan wouldn’t even recognize Biden’s America. He lets our country down again and again.

“In Biden’s America, crime is rampant on our streets. Nine major cities will record record homicides in 2022,” she said.

McDaniel launched a series of broadsides against the current administration, warning Republicans were ready to take back the White House next year

“Biden’s America has given us a broken southern border,” added Utah Senator Mitt Romney’s niece.

A record number of migrants have died in harrowing circumstances while cartels make record profits.’

More than 2.3 million people tried to slip across the US-Mexico border last year, according to data from US Customs and Border Protection.

That’s more than 1.7 million in 2021 and just over 450,000 the year before, when much of the world went into lockdown during the coronavirus pandemic.

The 50-year-old launched her attack on the president late Thursday when reports first emerged that he plans to announce he is running for a second term.

She also said the US economy had plummeted under his leadership, pointing to “skyrocketing inflation, record government spending and out-of-control energy costs.”

A January report from the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, found that prices have risen 14% since Biden took office.

The top political strategist, who won a fourth term as GOP chairman in January, also criticized liberals for promoting gender identity issues in the classroom.

“Left-wing radicals run our schools,” she claimed without citing examples. “Primary school children are inundated with sexual content.”

McDaniel’s comments came as she announced that the Reagan Library in Simi Valley, just outside Los Angeles, will host the second GOP primary debate.

“I’m a firm believer that our next president will be on that podium,” McDaniel said without giving a date for when it will take place.

It will be the fifth ever Republican primary hosted by Reagan’s presidential library.

The first primary debate is scheduled in Milwaukee in August and broadcast on Fox News.

No criteria were announced as to how potential contestants would be eligible to appear.

The 44-year-old ex-congressman has not yet formally confirmed his intention to take on the real estate tycoon, despite hosting a number of campaign-style events.

But sources close to his team have told DailyMail.com that he could announce his bid for the White House as early as next month.

It comes as conservative talk radio host Larry Elder announced Thursday that he is also running for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination.

Elder, 70, made the announcement on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight” and followed up with a tweet.

America is going backwards, but that decline is not inevitable. We can enter a new American Golden Age, but we must choose a leader who can take us there,” he wrote.
