I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! star Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins reveals the shocking amount of weight he lost after just 14 days in the jungle

Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins was put through the wringer during his 14-day stint in the South African jungle before being voted off on Thursday.

Now the I’m A Celebrity star, 35, has revealed that he lost a staggering amount of weight in the short period he was in camp due to lack of food.

He said he lost a shocking eight pounds because he couldn’t keep up with the calorie intake his muscular body required, reported news.com.au on Friday.

‘Mate, the first thing I did when I got out was put on the feed sack and put a pound or so of shepherd’s pie in it. Then had a few beers and now I’m fine,’ he said.

“If I don’t do weights, I lose weight very quickly. The jungle weights aren’t that heavy – and besides, it’s more about surviving in there with the calorie intake.’

He went on to say that he did his best to conserve the few calories he was getting from rice, beans and oats by not going too hard with the gym equipment.

“You can really feel it during the day, eat up your muscles and eat up your body.” It’s not fun,” he added.

“I am genuinely surprised that Nick is leaving us tonight. He was a true trouper in the trials and loved by his camp mates,” one person tweeted.

“Nick is a really great person to watch in the jungle, such a lucky guy, true to himself,” said another person.

A third commented: ‘The fact that Das went for Domenica [Calarco] is beyond me. I have lost faith in humanity.’
