Landlord cuts through front door with a CIRCULAR SAW as screaming tenant shouts ‘are you mad?!’

A landlord reportedly fell on his tenant with a circular saw after cutting the front door following an argument over rent.

Dr. Muhammed Raheel Jethel and his family feared for their lives after receiving threats from their landlord in Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland.

A shocking video shows the man racially insulting the father of two before using a power saw to cut through the family’s front door on Monday afternoon.

Dr. Jethel yelled ‘are you crazy?’ while the landlord, who has not been named, lunged at him with the saw shouting, “I’ll fucking split you.”

The landlord had claimed that the family, who are originally from Pakistan, had not paid rent for the property, despite Dr. landlord.

Two weeks ago, the family began to experience the threatening behavior. The landlord would have arrived at the property with a locksmith and started drilling in the door.

Dr. Jethel was at work at the time. His wife and two children, ages one and three, were in the house and thought someone was breaking in.

The doctor then called the Garda. He claims he was told the incident related to a civil matter and that Gardaí was under no obligation to intervene.

After Gardaí’s arrival, the apparent landlord calmed down and left the premises.

But on Monday afternoon, the family was met by the same man brandishing a circular saw.

Dr. Jethel then began filming the incident.

The video shows that the man, believed to be the landlord, while holding the tools, said, “Maybe you go to Muhammed – you have more to lose than me.” Wherever you go in this life, I will follow you.’

Using the circular saw to cut the door, he said, “If I have to spend the rest of my life in prison, I don’t care.”

Also on the video, he can be heard saying, “I have a Quran in my car to burn. I don’t care about your family.’

In the video, Dr. Jethel closed the door and then the man used the spinning blade to cut through the door, causing the doctor to open it and say he called Gardaí.

The man responds and is then seen heading to the door working the heavy equipment. Dr. Jethel is forced to take cover before yelling “you can’t do that” as he pushes the landlord back through the doorway.

Dr. Jethel yelled, “Are you angry? Are you fucking angry?’

The man, holding the saw, said, “Yes, I am angry, I am angry with you!” Then he raised the saw again and warned, “You think I wouldn’t do it?” I’ll fucking split you open. You’ve got it?’

Dr. Jethel then repeats to the man that he’s going to call the garda, to which the landlord replies, “Well, call the goddamn guards.” I don’t care about your family. You’ll lose more than you’ve ever lost.”

Dr Jethel’s friend and colleague, Dr Liqa Ur Rehman, told Ireland’s Daily Mail that the family are “terrified” and don’t know where to go.

“They’re standing at the door, terrified that the man will come back. They think their lives are in danger. The gardaí tell him it wasn’t for them.’

According to Dr. Ur Rehman, officers who arrived on the scene on Monday apologized for the behavior of their colleagues.

Yesterday, Dr Ur Rehman said the family has remained in the property but is terrified to leave.

“They all didn’t sleep last night. They were waiting at the door because they were afraid someone would come back. Dr. Jethel has now engaged a lawyer and believes this is harassment.

“The landlord went wild. My friend doesn’t want this to become more than necessary. He wants the landlord to apologize and then it’s over,” he said.

Dr. Ur Rehman said he felt compelled to post the video on social media due to the alleged conduct of officers during both incidents.

He said he was ‘greatly disappointed and saddened by this attitude of the local Gardaí. If something happens to him and his family, the situation could spiral out of control. Authorities must take action before it is too late.’

He added: “We’re just afraid they won’t have anywhere to go.

‘There is very little housing for all the people who work in the hospitals. So this is terrible. He had the money too and there was no problem paying the rent. He just didn’t know how to get the money to the man because his phone number didn’t work and the bank account he used didn’t work.’

After these allegations were presented to Gardaí, a spokesperson said: ‘A Garda Síochána is aware of a video circulating online and can confirm that personal contact has been made with a private individual. Investigations are currently underway.

“Anyone who believes they have been mistreated by a member of An Garda Síochána has the right to lodge a complaint with the Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission.”
