Jamie Lee Curtis shows support for her godson Jake Gyllenhaal at The Covenant premiere

Just over a month after her first Oscar win for Everything Everywhere All At Once, Jamie Lee Curtis returned to the red carpet to support her godson Jake Gyllenhaal.

Curtis, 64, who is good friends with Jake’s, 42, parents – director Stephen Gyllenhaal and screenwriter Naomi Foner – took to the red carpet with Jake at the premiere of his new movie The Covenant.

The Oscar-winning actress was all smiles on the red carpet in support of Gyllenhal’s new film, which hits theaters April 21.

Curtis stepped out in all black – wearing a black top under a black suit jacket with silver-rimmed glasses.

The actress accessorized with tiny heart-shaped earrings and a silver chain with a tiny pendant.

Her godson Jake Gyllenhaal rocked an almost identical look with a black shirt underneath a black suit jacket with black pants and shiny black dress shoes.

Gyllenhaal’s new film The Covenant follows his character, U.S. Army Sergeant John Kinley, who recruits local Afghans for help interpreting the local language.

He enlists Ahmed (Dar Salim) on their mission, which results in an ambush as Ahmed ends up saving Kinley’s life.

Back home, Kinley learns that Ahmed is on the run from the Taliban as he single-handedly returns to enemy territory to rescue the man who saved his life.

The film also stars Jonny Lee Miller, Alexander Ludwig, Antony Starr and Emily Beecham, with Guy Ritchie directing.

Gyllenhaal was promoting his 2021 film The Guilty as he opened up about living with his godmother Curtis during the COVID-19 pandemic.

“She’s just one of the most generous, loving, giving people. She’s been so good to me and recently, during this global pandemic the world is going through, she housed me in Los Angeles for a while, in her guest house,” Gyllenhaal said.
