Coronation Street SPOILER: Amy is rushed to hospital after drowning her trauma

Amy Barlow will be leaving her family fearing for her life on Coronation Street next week as she is rushed to hospital after a drink overdose.

The teen suffers traumatic flashbacks after being raped by Aaron Sandford after a drunken night out, and despite reporting him to the police, she chose to change her statement.

Since she dropped the charges against Aaron, Amy has had a hard time seeing him on the cobblestones as he repeatedly denies he did anything wrong.

And in the next few episodes, after realizing it’s affecting her university work, Amy drinks a bottle of vodka, before Summer finds her collapsed in the garden.

Will Aaron (James Craven) finally realize he raped her while Amy’s loved ones wait to see how she will recover?

Enraged: The fallout leads to a furious clash between Aaron and Aadi, after they finally learn about Amy’s rape ordeal

In the upcoming episodes, Amy (Elle Mulvaney) reluctantly agrees that Aaron can be invited to Nina’s surprise party, following a last-minute change of venue.

As the party is in full swing, Amy watches Aaron in disgust as he flirts with a group of girls.

When Aaron puts a hand on Amy’s shoulder, it brings back terrible memories and the teen bursts into tears.

She then admits to Summer (Harriet Bibby) and Aadi (Adam Hussain) that Aaron raped her when she was drunk, and though she hoped she could erase it, she can’t.

As the party winds down, Aadi is left alone with Aaron and reveals the truth about what happened to Amy.

Aaron assures Aadi that Amy is lying and that she wanted sex as much as he did, and as they clean up the flat he drinks the remaining beers and passes out drunk on the sofa.

Aadi is furious with Aaron’s reaction and wants revenge… what will he do now?

As the week progresses, Amy struggles to hide her feelings after her horrific rape and after receiving a letter from the university advising her that she is behind on her work, she tears it up and takes a bottle of vodka.

As Summer passes Victoria Garden, she is horrified to see Amy collapse to the ground and calls an ambulance.

On the street, Aaron approaches Aadi and the pair begin to tear down, but they stop when they see an ambulance coming and Summer explains to the paramedic that she found Amy unconscious.

In A&E, the doctor confirms that Amy passed out from excessive alcohol, and Summer explains to Steve (Simon Gregson) and Tracy (Kate Ford) how Amy admitted that Aaron raped her.

Aadi scolds Aaron, pointing out that Amy tried to drink herself to death because of him, while Amy admits to Steve and Tracy that Aaron raped her and she knows she needs help.

Fortunately, it looks like Amy will recover, and later in the week, Summer offers to help her with her economics class.

When Aaron comes in, a stressed Amy sees him and knocks over her coffee, completely soaking her laptop.

As Amy unsuccessfully tries to get her laptop to work, she admits to Tracy and Summer that she’s already received a warning from her university for being so behind on her work.

When Tracy finds a brand new laptop on her doorstep, Amy is stunned.
