Sir Martin Sorrell on the mend after exploratory surgery to remove a tumour

Sir Martin Sorrell has undergone exploratory surgery to remove a tumour.

The marketing guru told staff at his company S4 Capital that he has “recovered very well” after surgery in February.

The 78-year-old said it was “business as usual” but added that he will be undergoing “preventative treatment in the coming months” and will be traveling less as he recovers.

Surgery: Sir Martin Sorrell told staff at his firm S4 Capital he has made a ‘superb recovery’ after exploratory surgery to remove a tumor

Sorrell said, “I wanted to update you on the successful exploratory surgery I had in February to remove a tumour.

‘I have made an excellent recovery and, as you would expect, have taken the best possible medical advice.

‘My conclusion is that I will have to undergo preventive treatment in the coming months. My doctors have advised me that I should be able to work normally most of the time during this treatment, although I have also decided to reduce my travel schedule for a few weeks. Further business as usual.’

S4 Capital was founded by Sorrell in 2018 after he left WPP following an investigation into his conduct. The stock fell 0.9 percent yesterday.
