Strip club boss bans Senator Lidia Thorpe from Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club in Melbourne over 3am row

Senator Lidia Thorpe has been suspended for life from a Melbourne strip club over her late-night foul mouth spray, saying in an official letter: ‘You are no longer welcome’.

The former politician of the Greens has been warned not to ’embarrass further’ in the letter – seen by Daily Mail Australia – after she yelled obscenities outside Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club.

Senator Thorpe was filmed unleashing an extraordinary spray on a group of men outside the club in Brunswick at 3 a.m. Sunday, saying in a menacing tone to one, “You have a small penis,” and to the other, “You are marked’.

David Ross, managing director of Maxine’s, told Daily Mail Australia that Senator Thorpe’s behavior was “simply unacceptable” and that she has been banned from the establishment for life.

In a letter sent to Senator Thorpe’s parliamentary email address on Monday morning and shared with the Mail, Mr Ross denounced the outspoken indigenous affairs activist’s bizarre behavior.

“I am writing to you about your presence at Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club on Saturday night and the incident outside the venue after closing at 3am,” it read.

‘Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club is a local Brunswick club that prides itself on providing a relaxed environment and promoting harmony between patrons of all genders and of all ethnic and religious backgrounds; a fact of which the staff and dancers are very proud.

“With this in mind, and after reviewing security footage and speaking to staff and security, I must inform you that you are no longer welcome at Maxine’s Gentlemen’s Club.

“In the future, try not to enter the room again, as entry may be denied for further embarrassment.”

Mr Ross told Daily Mail Australia that bouncers had been keeping a close eye on the Greens defector throughout the evening because she was “a bit quarrelsome” during the wild night out with friends.

“One of our guards said they thought she (Senator Thorpe) was going to get in trouble for going up to white men in the crowd and telling them they stole her land,” he said.

“I have never seen a racially inspired problem in our club before. People of all nationalities come to the club.

“I like to say that adult entertainment has universal appeal — it doesn’t matter what background you come from, it’s all entertaining. But she’s not welcome.’

He added: ‘We’re a local club – we’re more of a local bar than a strip club – there just happen to be scantily clad women walking around.

“We are a very local club and we don’t welcome this kind of behavior at all.”

Mr Ross said he did not believe Senator Thorpe had previously visited Maxine’s – which describes itself as the ‘hottest Melbourne strip club north of the CBD’.

At one point, Senator Thorpe walks up to one of the men and says in a menacing tone, “you, you’re marked.”

One of them calls her a ‘racist dog’ to which she responds ‘f*** you’ before a friend stops her.’

She tells the men, “All I want to say to the black brothers out there and to everyone we fight…

“Any black man standing by that f***ing white little c*** like that – you (sic) can all get fucked too!”

One of the men asks, “How the hell does someone like you get into parliament?”

She hits back: “We’ve been oppressed all our lives in this country and you let this dog talk…”

A member of the group told 7News that the senator was “out of control.”

Mr Ross said he viewed footage of the extraordinary spray on the club’s security cameras and spoke to staff working that night.

“She was very animated and argumentative,” he said.

“I think to the credit of our punters who were up front, they didn’t get aggressive and try to fix the situation.”

However, Mr. Ross said that although the senator had been drinking, she was “not drunk” and was not asked to leave. He said the confrontation exploded when the venue closed at 3 p.m.

Senator Thorpe, who was out with a group of three friends for a 50th birthday party, had previously told 7News that she had been provoked and harassed by the men.

“It’s sad that people use anything to bring me down when we try to discuss important issues in this country,” she told the network.

Daily Mail Australia has asked Senator Thorpe’s office for comment on claims she was the one provoking gamblers.

Ms Thorpe has also come under fire from Labour-supporting advertising executive and TV personality Dee Madigan, who attacked the senator’s sexist slurs.

“This little d*** thing has got to stop. It’s not okay whoever says it. It’s body shaming,” she tweeted Monday. “We wouldn’t approve of women being described that way.”

Independent Senator Jacqui Lambie also berated Senator Thorpe, warning, “You can’t keep doing this.”

‘Would be a good start [to] take responsibility for your own actions and take matters into your own hands,” she told Sky News.

“There is no escaping this, you are a politician. Sometimes we mess up, but not taking responsibility for yourself doesn’t help.”

Senator Lambie said the Victorian Senator should get help if she’s not doing well because “something has to be done.”

Senator Thorpe was forced to step down as deputy leader of the Greens in the Senate after she failed to disclose her relationship with former biker boss, Dean Martin, while on a committee investigating biker gangs.

She was also forced to apologize unreservedly after intervening during a parliamentary debate with the line “at least I keep my legs closed,” which was reportedly addressed to Liberal Senator Hollie Hughes.

In February, Senator Thorpe caused a scene at Sydney’s Mardi Gras parade when she lay down in front of a float after screaming “f*** the police.”

Last month she disrupted a ‘Let Woman Speak’ event outside Parliament House in Canberra held by controversial women’s rights activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull.

Senator Thorpe, draped in an Aboriginal flag, made a straight line to Ms Keen-Minshull, before she was intercepted and taken down by police.

She crawled across the lawn and made her way to a group of more than 100 pro-trans counter-demonstrators.

The independent senator from the “black sovereignty” movement later claimed she had been “pulverized” by police, saying Ms Keen-Minshull – whom she called “filth” – was not allowed to speak on Aboriginal land.
