Scared Of The Dark: Chris Eubank launches furious rant as Paul Gascoigne tells a VERY crude tale

Chris Eubank launched into a furious tirade after Paul Gascoigne gave a very crude story during the premiere of Scared Of The Dark on Channel 4 on Sunday.

The former footballer, 55, had told an X-rated story about ‘relieving’ herself in the toilet after meeting the late Margaret Thatcher at 10 Downing Street in 1990.

And while all the other contestants burst into laughter, a furious Chris berated Paul before going wild in a confessional.

The former Tottenham Hotspur player had teased a ‘sexy story’ before admitting: ‘I can get myself into trouble here, but when I got to 10 Downing Street I put my arm around Maggie Thatcher.

“Oh my god, I felt myself getting hard and I thought, “Quick, I better just let this go.” So I quickly went to the toilet and just swatted one out.’

“Horny bit just came out of us and I wasn’t about to walk in with a boner so I just quickly…”

Visibly unimpressed, Chris replied, “It’s such a shame it’s probably true. OK, so let’s lift the octave or class. Let’s lift it.

‘What you’ve done there, Paul, is you talk in the pub, man. That’s not for here.’

When he realized that the room had fallen silent, he added, “But maybe I’ll ruin the party.” Yes, so do what you want. I’m very tired. I have to sleep.’

In a piece-to-camera Chris later said, “I don’t know Gazza. And I don’t want to know Gazza. Because that’s drinking. That’s all that crap.

‘He’s brutal. He drinks you out from under the table. He is a legend that is not legendary. What is legendary is Paul. Paul and what he did.

“He was a superstar in football. I want to get to know Paul. He’s a beautiful man.’

Britain’s first female prime minister had invited the troubled star and the England squad to Downing Street following their appearance at that summer’s World Cup in Italy, where they lost to West Germany on penalties in the semi-finals.

But Paul wasn’t the only star the boxer came to blows with as he scolded Love Island’s Chloe Burrows for swearing before starting a universe story and knowing her in his past life.

Chloe was the first to enter the bunker where she met Chris – but they didn’t seem to hit it off right away when he told her she had cursed.

When she walked into the room where Chris was sitting on the couch, he said, “Hey,” and Chloe immediately screams and exclaims, “What the f***! Is someone here?’

Chris told her his name and as she tried to make her way across the room she cursed again.

“Did you just swear?” asked Chris, before scolding her to say, “Language, yes?” and she quickly apologized when she found the couch.

‘Are you afraid of the dark? I’m terrified of the dark,” Chloe told Chris. He replied, ‘No, what is there to be afraid of? Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, enjoy…

“I’m going to tell you this – you’re amazing, you’re amazing, you’re a cosmic being, if you compare yourself to the galaxies they’re huge and inexplicable in terms of size.

“You are a universe, you are that amazing. We were long lost friends, and I found you again, Chloe, whatever you were, whoever you were in my last.”

Chloe, seemingly perplexed, said, “That’s sweet,” and Chris told her, “It’s true.”

Chloe later recalled the bizarre first meeting with the boxer: “I feel a little bad, I probably rolled my eyes, but there was too much going on for this wisdom to be put on me…

“It was a very deep conversation. Surreal is the word I would use.’

Eight participants live, eat and sleep in the dark in the program, hosted by Danny Dyer. It runs over five nights until Thursday.

The star-studded lineup taking part includes The Wanted’s Max George, Scarlett Moffatt, boxer Nicola Adams, Paul Gascoigne, Chris MacCausland and actress Donna Preston.

Danny Dyer will host the bizarre new series after getting the gig following his EastEnders departure on Christmas Day last year.

The actor, 45, himself admitted that the show is a strange concept.

He said, “This is possibly one of the most bizarre things I’ve ever done in my career, and I’ve done a lot of crazy things.

“Throw in a bunch of celebs and let them do things with the lights off – it’s real good television.”
