Michelle Obama has posted a touching tribute to Australia.

Former US President Barack Obama’s 58-year-old wife posted a sweet post on Instagram on Saturday about the couple’s recent trip Down Under.

‘Barack and I just got back from Australia and we loved every minute of this trip!’ gushed the former First Lady in her caption.

“From visiting the famous Sydney Opera House to exploring the beautiful nature to catching up with good friends, this was the perfect first visit for me,” she continued.

“I am so grateful for the generosity and hospitality the Australian people have shown me and Barack everywhere.

Michelle included a series of intimate snaps in her story.

An adorable photo shows the mother-of-two getting up close and personal with a large koala while visiting the Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park near Melbourne.

Dressed casually in jeans, white T-shirt and headband, a clearly enchanted Michelle can be seen caressing the large marsupials across the back.

The author and lawyer can be seen in another charming photo feeding a wallaby.

Meanwhile, Michelle posted another photo of the Obamas guarding the magnificent and recently renovated grand concert hall of the Sydney Opera House.

The pair were often seen sight-seeing during their short journey Down Under, accompanied by a huge security convoy.

During their visit, they climbed the Sydney Harbor Bridge and met the Austrian Prime Minister, Anthony Albanese.

The Obamas were in Australia last month as part of a speeches by the former president, 61.

Fans paid $195 to hear Barack Obama speak on an evening titled “An Evening with President Obama.”

The former president spoke about his ‘path to success’ and delivered his speech to sold-out crowds in both Sydney and Melbourne.

It was reported that he earned an estimated $1 million from the sold-out tour, which included an online event for $400 per person.

The event’s “Platinum Package,” which cost $895, included a welcome cocktail over an hour-long social gathering, a commemorative cord, and a signed copy of Obama’s memoir A Promised Land.
