The hottest style events ahead of festival season
When it comes to style, we are all inspired by what we see; be it a well-dressed celebrity, an outrageous runway presentation or even a fashionable passerby.
As fashion editors, we’re moved by all of the above, and then some. We are exposed to under-the-radar labels; we review collections firsthand months before they hit stores; we attend VIP events; we use brands with an upmarket yet cheap offer and we shop – a lot.
To share our knowledge, FEMAIL brings you Style Swoon, a weekly series of the latest, greatest and newest. We hope this Friday’s series will serve as a buying guide and point of inspiration for everyone.
This week’s edition focuses on the hottest events in fashion right before the festival season.

Fashionable dinner
Fiorucci celebrated their Spring 2023 collection and festival season this week at Ardor Terrace at the West Hollywood Edition in Los Angeles.
For the special night, Artistic Director Daniel W. Fletcher hosted an intimate dinner with notables from the fashion and music worlds.
The iconic label was founded in 1967 by Elio Fiorucci as a collaborative brand where fashion, art and music came together.
The attendees perfectly embodied the brand’s vision and beliefs with influencers such as Chriselle Lim and Kelsey Merritt, and Australian singer-songwriter Troye Sivan.
Chriselle looked chic in a black dress topped with Fiorucci’s ‘Graphic Poster Wall’ denim jacket.
While Kelsey Merritt, actress Georgie Flores and Tiktoker Zack Lugo have beautifully crafted pieces from the new collection to reflect their personalities.

Troye wore a full Fiorucci look with a jacket and jeans with the brand’s logo on them laser monograms.
The latest collection plays with bold graphics and prints inspired by the brand’s archive, including their iconic angels in a new liquid chrome graphic applied to faded sweaters, crop tops and silky shirts.
“I start every season by digging through the Fiorucci archive and one of the things I discovered this season was a stack of photos from an event at the Beverly Hills store in the 1970s for the launch of Blondie’s Parallel album. Lines,” said Daniel W. Fletcher.
“LA is such an important part of Fiorucci’s history and I love hearing stories about the store that occupied the Beverly Theater with pumping music and Andy Warhol and Joan Jett hanging out at the store; it sounds like a wild time, so I always love to bring the brand back here and celebrate where we are with the new generation of creatives who are now part of the Fiorucci family.”
