Former Emmerdale star Chelsea Halfpenny has revealed she is expecting her first child.
The actress, 31, who is best known for playing Amy Wyatt on the nationwide soap, shared a playful photo of her rocking her blossoming bump to her 32,000 Instagram followers on Friday.
She captioned the photo, “As if renovating a house wasn’t enough, we decided to grow a baby at the same time! Officially MENTAL @jamesbaxterrealtalk But we’re so close to meeting our new little best friend!’
Her fiancé James Baxter, 32, reshared the post to his story, accompanied by some red heart emojis.
He later said underneath it, “Let’s hope they’re like you for both of us,” followed by some crying laughing emojis.

But it seems the news hasn’t slowed down the West End star.
Just three months ago, she ended up starring in the UK tour of Waitress, which she described as her dream job and before that she appeared in the production of 9 to 5.
In more recent weeks, she’s updated her followers on the couple’s home renovations by sharing photos of piles of broken wood, wallpaper strips, and James working on the fireplace.
Chelsea and James both worked on the ITV soap at the same time but never appeared in scenes together.
Chelsea played the role of Amy Wyatt, while James played Jake Doland.

Chelsea confirmed the news by sharing a selfie with her new fiancé, holding a glass of champagne and informing her followers that he popped the question.
She wrote on Instagram: “He liked it so he put a goddamn ring on it!!!!!!!! Obv changed his name to “FIANCÈ right on my phone.”
While the couple have yet to announce a due date for the baby, with Chelsea admitting they’re “so close” to meeting their bundle of joy, suggests they won’t have long to wait.
