BGT judge Bruno Tonioli reunites with his former Strictly co-star Oti Mabuse as they share a dance

Bruno Tonioli reunited with his former Strictly Come Dancing co-star Oti Mabuse on Friday as they hit the dance floor together.

The new Britain’s Got Talent judge, 67, who used to be on the panel for the BBC competition, once again showed off his signature moves on the dance floor.

He appeared on This Morning to speak about his new role as a judge on Simon Cowell’s talent show, and was reunited with professional dancer Oti, 32.

It comes after Simon, 63, branded him strictly boring and said he thinks new judge Bruno has it much better on the panel of the ITV talent show.

Oti was on the chat show talking about her brand new breakfast show and taking a break from her promotion schedule to show off her dance moves with Bruno.

The pair were seen grinning as they performed a dance routine in the studio, with Bruno Oti twirling as they both showed off their talents.

Oti, who dropped out of Strict to become a judge on Dancing On Ice, looked incredible in a brown and orange striped midi dress as she showed off her stuff.

She gave herself a few extra inches in a pair of white pointed stilettos and styled her dark brown locks in tight waves over her shoulders.

Italian choreographer Bruno looked good in black trousers and a white collared shirt, which he paired with heeled boots.

Oti was a professional dancer on Strictly during Bruno’s 15 years as a judge on the show, before they both moved on to new work projects.

Bruno recently made his Britain’s Got Talent debut, joining Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Simon on the judging panel of the pre-recorded show.

Bruno replaces former judge David Walliams, who controversially left the show last year.

Meanwhile, Oti has seen huge success as a judge on Dancing on Ice and is now launching her own Saturday morning breakfast show.

When she appeared on This Morning to talk about the show, she said, “I want people to watch it and get ready for the day, it’s light.”

Oti went on to talk about her recent appearance on DNA Journey alongside her sister Motsi, revealing that they have “the same DNA” as Nelson Mandela.

Speaking of the show, she said: ‘On DNA I really got a sense of pride from it.

“This show went back 2,000 years and you know I can achieve anything in life except to find out my own history of people, that was the most special feeling ever.”

She added: “We are related to Nelson Mandela,” to which a shocked Josie Gibson asked: ‘What?!’

Oti then clarified: ‘No! I said that wrong, don’t quote me. I mean, we have the same DNA as Nelson Mandela.’

Elsewhere this week, Simon labeled Strictly “boring” when discussing Bruno joining Britain’s Got Talent.

Bruno previously appeared on Strictly between 2004 and 2019, and Simon, 63, wasn’t particularly fond of his previous workplace.

Simon recently said that he felt his new fellow judge had a much better time on their show because of the format.

He compared Britain’s Got Talent to the celebrity dance competition show, saying, “When you do Strictly, all you have is a bat or something, right? That is boring.

“This is a punctuation mark, that’s the red buzzer. He was like a child who had to push these things while he was judging. I think he found the whole process was easier when he had it.

“I think he probably wished he had a red buzzer. There are some celebrities he would have loved to greet, I bet.’

Bruno joined the talent show’s panel as a replacement for comedian David, 51, who left after making “disrespectful” comments about contestants from previous series.

Bruno played Strictly from 2004 to 2019, Anton Du Beke acted for him as a judge during the Covid-19 pandemic before permanently replacing him in 2022.
