MCCAIN: Meghan has snubbed the coronation. Any hopes of her and Harry returning to UK are lost
Only half of the ‘Worldwide Privacy Tour’ will travel to the UK with the show.
And while that may be good news for the Royals, it’s tragically bad news for America.
On Wednesday, Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Harry – after reportedly missing the RSVP deadline – graciously (wink) accepted the invitation to attend his father’s coronation.
But there is a catch. The Princess of Montecito will not be with him.
Well, we finally crossed the Rubicon.
You can’t make it up to the nagging distant cousin who constantly criticizes the wedding plans, only to skip the big day anyway.
After Meghan-I’m-Still-Royalty-Markle has repeatedly trashed the royal family, what an insult to King Charles, Prince William – and the entire population of Britain.

This glorious, historic celebration is about welcoming the reign of King Charles and his Queen Camilla.
The Sussexes couldn’t even come up with a good excuse.
Omid Scobie, H&M’s unofficial spokeswoman, tweeted confirmation of Harry’s solo act, adding, “I understand Archie’s fourth birthday (also May 6) played a role in the couple’s decision.”
Certainly! I have to give it to Harry and Meghan. This is a valiant attempt at a public-relations spin – calling on their kid’s birthday party.
But let’s keep it real here. No one in their right mind believes Hollywood is letting Meghan Markle pass up an opportunity to peacock blowing balloons and serving pie in the backyard before the eyes of the world.
Couldn’t they celebrate in the UK? Pssst… a toddler has no idea which country he is in.
There are arguably few people on the planet more obsessed with seeing themselves on camera than Meghan.
Now she suddenly doesn’t want to be photographed in public, wearing one of those ridiculous little hats? I’m sorry. I’m not buying it.
I believe brave Meghan is avoiding it. It seems to me that she is clearly unwilling to face the music with her in-laws and the British public.
As tone-deaf as she is (and she is quite tone-deaf), she must be aware of how deeply unpopular she is in her husband’s home country. She would probably be booed as soon as the wheels of the private jet touched the ground.

All hope that they would tire of the California sunshine and fly back to Britain is utterly lost.
And that love for attention also applies to her husband. For all his hatred of the media, he certainly shares many intimate details of his life with… the media.
I’ve read more than I’d like about Harry’s sexual history, his genitals, and his drug use. But, as Omid also made clear, the prince’s jaunt to London will be short-lived.
“Expect it to be a fairly quick trip to the UK for Prince Harry, who will only be attending the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey,” he tweeted.
I assume this means there’s no time for Harry to interact with his family in any significant way. That’s pretty cruel.
This destroys once and for all the Sussexes’ claim that they are interested in reconciliation.
Harry was asked in January, while promoting his memoir which revealed embarrassing secrets about his father, stepmother and brother, if he would attend the coronation. “A lot can happen between now and then,” he said. “The ball is in their court.”
If that had been the truth – if these wayward two were really interested in healing the gaping wounds they have opened – surely they would have welcomed this olive branch, both accepted the king’s invitation, chosen to attend the day complete and be done with it. But they didn’t.
For this part, the king puts on a brave face. Charles is “satisfied” with his son’s decision, according to Royal Insiders.
However, the rest of the family will reportedly be “relieved” by the news. Royal experts suggested that a performance by Meghan would have been particularly “uncomfortable” for the Princess of Wales.

If Meghan attended the coronation, she would be banished to the same place she and Harry occupied at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral: the D-List. That is unacceptable to her.
Don’t you say? Of course, it would be awkward for Princess Kate to pretend everything is fake.
They can breathe a sigh of relief over the pond. But this means Meghan remains stranded us side of the water.
Good grief!
All hope that they would tire of the California sunshine and fly back to Britain is utterly lost.
In the end, it’s clear why Meghan chooses to pass on the coronation: it’s not about her.
This glorious, historic celebration is about welcoming the reign of a new king and his queen. It’s also about highlighting the next generation of working Royals, not the ones who fled the city to hang out with Ellen DeGeneres.

But Meghan and the Prince of Mope have made their bed – and now they have to lie in it. Their decision will hang over Harry’s journey – and it will give Americans even more reason to loathe them both. No one likes an ungrateful.
