‘We love WWE!’: Cavinder twins again hint a move to WRESTLING could be next

‘We love WWE!’: Cavinder twins hint again that a switch to WRESTLING could be next for them, days after they retired from basketball after March Madness Elite Eight run

Haley and Hanna Cavinder have hinted strongly that their “new chapter” could be joining the WWE after announcing earlier this week that they are dropping out of college basketball.

Two days ago, the twins said they would not be returning to Miami for their fifth season of eligibility. They alluded to a ‘new chapter’.

Since signing a Name, Image, Likeness deal with WWE in December 2021, the Cavinders have been part of WWE’s “Next in Line” program, which, among other things, prepares contestants for a career in the ring.

“We love the WWE,” the Cavinders said on “The Today Show” on Thursday. “The fanbase, the sport, the fitness side of it — they’re great, our partner, and we’re really excited about a future with them.”

The 22-year-old twins helped Miami reach the Elite Eight in March as No. 9, defeating Oklahoma State, Villanova and Indiana before losing to national champion LSU.

Social media superstars, the Gilbert, Ariz. natives spent their first three seasons at Fresno State and moved to Miami for the 2022-23 campaign.

The twins are in the top five NIL earners in all sports. They will continue deals with Champs Sports and others, adding Thursday that they will announce other long-term deals soon.

They had previously alluded to a move to WWE.

When the rules were lifted, preventing college athletes from agreeing to third-party sponsorships in 2021, they announced a surprise agreement to partner with WWE to promote wrestling and possibly even compete.

As part of the deal, they are believed to have access to the WWE Performance Center in Florida to learn acrobatics and other skills necessary to compete as a wrestler.

And while it would be an unexpected move, it’s also potentially a lucrative one. In 2022, WWE’s revenue increased 10 percent and passed $1 billion.

“We were at an event in Nashville and it was so much fun, and their fanbase is crazy,” Hanna enthused on the BFF podcast. “We could be the next Bella Twins. “We should be taking lessons, fully training and taking lessons. Do it completely. It’s not a joke at all.’

The twins already have an estimated net worth of $1.7 million and have said in the past that they could invest their money in real estate.
