This Bruno became a judge on Britain’s Got Talent, which airs this weekend, replacing David Walliams, a regular on the show.
Speaking about whether his mother had influenced him to get Bruno on the panel, Simon explained: ‘I never watched Strictly.
“I think she’s up there talking to me and saying yes. They had a fantastic relationship.’
He added what it was like working with the professional dancer, saying, “Bruno hit the gold buzzer during a performance… and they just kept going.”
“I like things I’ve never seen before, I wouldn’t like them a few years ago [the acts] but now it is, probably because of Eric… he’s laughing his ass off,” he said of the upcoming series.
Meanwhile, Bruno talked about his time on the show while gushing about “working with friends.”
“It was so much fun,” he said, “it’s like working with friends, it’s like being at home.”
He continued, “I always look at a show like it’s the first one, I don’t have plans, I react to what’s in front of me…I’m telling you the truth, I’ve never watched it!”

It comes after Bruno revealed that he was so exhausted while filming the show that he once had an “out of body experience.”
Speaking to Radio Times, Bruno revealed that despite the glitz and glamor of his time at Strictly, he was completely exhausted behind the scenes.
He said, “I remember telling Tess I didn’t know where I was because I was so tired. I even barked at Dancing with the Stars once.
“I had an out-of-body experience and was confused about where I was, but I caught myself really quickly.”
