Premier League clubs have collectively agreed to remove betting sponsors from the front of their shirts on matchdays, making them the first Major League to do so.
Eight of the 20 clubs currently playing in the Premier League have shirts with such sponsorship, which will be removed after the 2025-2026 season.
The decision was made to reduce exposure to gambling advertising, although shirts are still allowed to have sponsorship on the sleeves.
A statement from England’s top flight reads: ‘Premier League clubs have collectively agreed today to remove gambling sponsorship from the front of clubs’ matchday shirts, making them the first UK sports league to voluntarily take such a measure to reduce gambling. advertisement.

While the ban on this sponsorship will take effect in 2025-26, clubs will still be able to close new deals before this closing date.
