Donald Trump seen boarding plane to NYC for his deposition in a $250 million business fraud case

Donald Trump boarded his plane in Florida on Wednesday evening to fly to New York City for a statement in a business fraud case.

Trump is meeting with New York Attorney General Letitia James on a case related to bank fraud.

James alleges that several of Trump’s family members misled banks and others by providing financial statements that deliberately misrepresented the value of his assets, including his golf clubs and the hotels that bear his name.

Her office is seeking $250 million in damages and an injunction against Trump and three of his grown children – Ivanka, Don, Jr. and Eric – to ever do business in the state again.

The trip marks Trump’s first return to New York City since his arrest and arraignment on charges of paying hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels.

The Stormy Daniels case and James’ case are not connected.

Last week, Trump called Letitia James (pictured) a “reverse racist” for filing a civil suit against his companies. He will now be impeached by her for the second time in connection with a $250 million corporate fraud case

Trump and his lawyers tried to get the James case dismissed, arguing that, as a Republican, he was “picked and subjected to selective treatment” by James.

The judge in the case, Arthur Engoron, denied the former president’s move and ordered the lawsuit.

Engoron also rejected a separate attempt by Ivanka Trump, named in the lawsuit, to dismiss the allegations against her.

Trump previously sat for a statement at James’ office last August, just weeks before she filed the lawsuit.

At that point, he refused to answer questions and invoked his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination more than 400 times.

Engoron has scheduled an October 2 trial date — just before the Republican presidential primary begins.

He agreed to give lawyers more time to review evidence, interview witnesses and file motions.

Trump’s impeachment is part of that process.

Trump’s return to New York last week created a chaotic atmosphere around the ICC, where both pro- and anti-Trump factions were represented.

Marjorie Taylor Greene, an ally of the former president, briefly rallied outside the courthouse to support him, but was called a “Nazi” by members of the mob and told to “go back to Georgia b***h.” .

She quickly retreated to her car.

Security around the courthouse and Trump Tower was stepped up.

In addition, the judge in charge of the hush money case, New York Judge Juan Merchan, had to step up his security after receiving a spate of death threats after Trump made him a political target.

After leaving New York, Trump returned to Mar-a-Lago and delivered a speech attacking Merchan, James and others.

“I have a Trump-hating judge, with a Trump-hating wife and family, whose daughter worked for Kamala Harris and now receives money from the Biden-Harris campaign and a lot of it,” Trump said of Merchan from the stage at his Florida home and resort.

Merchan’s daughter works in Democratic politics and NBC News discovered that he had donated $15 last cycle to President Joe Biden, which stripped Trump of a second term.

The former president called James, who is black, a “reverse racist” for continuing the fraud cases against his companies.
