Emmerdale viewers are left seeing red as Paddy KISSES ex-wife Chas despite her months-long affair 

Emmerdale viewers went red when Paddy Dingle (Dominic Brunt) went back to his cheating ex Chas (Lucy Pargeter) as they shared a kiss in Wednesday’s episode.

The likeable character was heartbroken in December when his wife’s affair with Al Chapman finally came to light.

But it seems time heals all wounds as Paddy found himself eager to spend time with Chas to prove to their daughter Eve that despite the breakup they were still a family.

Chas was thankful that Paddy helped as she struggled with housework and looking after Eve.

He told her, “Eva is our daughter, you shouldn’t have to deal with her alone.”

Chas replied, “She misses you around.”

Paddy said: “Yeah well I miss her more than you can imagine”, before adding: “I think it’s about time we showed her we can still do all the things we used to do as a family .’

After putting Eve to bed, the former couple realized there was still something between them when they shared a kiss.

But the rekindled romance hasn’t gone down well with fans who are convinced Chas will cheat on him again.

One viewer said, “Oh Paddy, what are you doing?” while another said, “Please don’t end up in bed with Chas.”

A third fan said, ‘Paddy what are you playing at? I could never forgive a woman who cheated on me.’

A fourth added: “Paddy just kissed Chas and I wish he would just get some goddamn self respect. She has repeatedly cheated on him and told him that he is just a safe option for her relationship and that he will still come back.”

Another sarcastically added, “Chas and Paddy get alone, I’m shocked.”

Viewers were left in tears after Marlon Dingle made an emotional plea to best friend Paddy after stopping him from committing suicide in scenes that aired last month.

After reading his suicide note, Marlon (Mark Charnock) and Chas (Lucy Pargeter) went on a hunt for him and eventually found him near a forest with Paddy sitting with a bolt gun in his hand.

A despairing Marlon broke down in tears and begged Paddy to reconsider, telling him to think of his daughter Eve, before saying ‘If you do this you’ll kill me too’.

The emotional scenes had a big effect on viewers at home, with one commenting that the moment had put them ‘in the good mood’.

Marlon spoke to Paddy after finding him and apologized for not realizing Paddy was so down, adding that as his best friend it was “his job” to know, adding that he “always has time” will have for him.

He added that the thought of Paddy not being in his life was unbearable and told his friend that he “has no idea how many people love you.”

Marlon went on to tell Paddy to think about how he felt when his own father took his life, and told him to think about how his own daughter Eve would feel about having to bury her father.

In the previous episode, Paddy shared special moments with his friends and family, especially young daughter Eve, and left goodbye notes for all of them.

In heartbreaking scenes, Paddy’s father Bear finds his suicide note and reads it to Chas and Paddy’s best friend Marlon Dingle – after which the letter sparks a manhunt among the villagers.

Paddy started having suicidal thoughts after a buildup of isolation, sadness and confusion, and it will lead him to say goodbye to his friends as his deep depression intensifies.

Actor Dominic said of the storyline, “It is a huge honor and a great responsibility to portray this storyline.

“It’s an inherent problem in today’s society that most men don’t talk enough about their problems. We bottle them up, we don’t want to bother anyone, we feel ashamed, we think we should be strong and not show weakness.
