Russell Dickerson and wife Kailey expecting second baby as couple reveal gender in sweet video – after opening up about miscarriage heartbreak

Country singer Russell Dickerson and wife Kailey are expecting their second child together.

The musician, 35, and photographer Kailey, 33, are already parents to son Remington, two, and announced their imminent new arrival and baby’s gender in an adorable Instagram video this week.

Russell captioned the video: ‘God gave me a…. BOY! So grateful to be able to tell you that Remington is going to be a big brother this fall!!’

The video showed Kailey first finding out she was pregnant and showing a positive pregnancy test, before she and Remington broke Russell the good news.

A shirtless Russell was seen saying “Nuh uh” when he saw the pregnancy tests before bursting into a smile and saying “No way!” while hugging his family.

The couple also looked into their gender reveal, with Russell saying he accidentally discovered the baby’s gender after putting it in a subject line of an email from the doctors.

The room was decorated with blue confetti and streamers, with balloons reading “It’s a boy” – featuring the video to Russell’s song God Gave Me A Girl.

The announcement comes four months after Kailey heartbreakingly revealed that the couple suffered a miscarriage at eight weeks last fall.

She took to Instagram on New Year’s Eve with a photo of Russell and Remington on the beach, writing, “2022 was unbelievably amazing and heartbreaking.

“In the middle of the craziest year we’ve ever had, we lost a baby at 8 weeks in September.

“It felt like drowning and trying to swim towards the sun to find the surface. I didn’t know if I would ever share this, but something about next year, I had to leave this news in 2022.

‘The loss; however, is something that will always be written in our story. I know I’ll share more about them when I’m ready, but for now, and for the last few months, I’m keeping these two extra close.

“It gives me hope knowing that we are more connected than we think. And it comforts me to know nothing and no one’s life is perfect or without pain.

“May we all give each other a little more grace next year… more kindness because we don’t know what someone is really going through… more love because we all need it.

“And may Jesus be near to the brokenhearted. He has certainly been for us.’
