South Korean actress and model Jung Chae-yul has been found dead in her home at the age of 26.
The actress’s death was announced earlier today by her management company, and details of her passing have not yet been released.
Jung rose to fame for her role in Zombie Detective – which gained something of a cult following after streaming on Netflix – as well as I Have Not Done My Best and the 2018 film Deep.
Before the heartbreaking news, the actress was slated to star in the much-anticipated K-drama series Wedding Impossible.
Since announcing the star’s death, fans have flocked to her most recent Instagram post to comment on their grief and sorrow. Jung was pictured sitting on the floor wearing headphones in the most recent upload as fans paid their respects.

Jung’s agency Management S announced the devastating news: “We have to bring very heartbreaking and unfortunate news. Actress Chae-yul left us on April 11′, a translation from Korea’s MK News reported.
“According to the wishes of the relatives, who grieve more than anyone else, the funeral will take place in peace and privacy.
“We urge you not to spread rumors and speculative messages in this regard.”
Jung was a rising star in the increasingly popular K-drama movies and series. She was set to appear in the upcoming drama Wedding Impossible, which has since announced it has paused production.
In her most recent Instagram post, Jung posed in a monochromatic photo wearing a glass and headphones.
Underneath, one fan wrote, “Rest in peace beautiful soul.”
Another wrote: “Wishing you all the best out there and only good memories. I’m so sad. I don’t know how to feel.’

The CEO of Jung’s agency expressed his sadness through tears in an interview with OSEN, where he said he was proud of the young star for making a leap forward as an actress.
“Our Chae Yul worked very hard. She was a deep hearted and cool friend. In my opinion it’s hard to put into words how great she was as an actress.’
