Major Hollywood star looks unrecognizable as he dresses up as a video game character for hilarious music video – can you guess who it is?

Jack Black looks unrecognizable sporting a bushy gray beard as his Super Mario Bros. Movie character Bowser for an entertaining new music video.

The actor, 53, who is the voice of Bowser in the film, is seen climbing through a window before sitting down at a peach-colored piano in the clip.

He is seen wearing a striking green suit and a black helmet with metal studs around the headgear.

The helmet has a bright red feathered detail at the top that falls over Jack’s shoulders.

In the clip, he can be heard singing the song Peaches, which appears in the film and was written by Jack.

Jack, who is part of the comedy rock duo Tenacious D, dances around in the video which was directed by Lyrical Lemonade’s Cole Bennett.

So told the film’s co-director Aaron Horvath Rolling stone: ‘Jack Black is an incredible singer and musician, so we spent a night writing the song and sent the demo to Jack.

A few days later, Jack sent us back a completed song. He had put his own spin on it and his pianist played an original music track for it.’

It comes after Jack said it was a no-brainer to play Bowser in The Super Mario Bros. Movie.

The star voices the fire-breathing antagonist in the new film adaptation of the popular Nintendo video game series and had no hesitation in taking the role as there is a captive audience for the movie.

Jack told the BBC: “My instinct was to say ‘yes’ straight away, but then my agent says, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold on. Let’s negotiate with them.’

“But to me, it’s one of those no-brainers. “They want you to play Bowser in SuperMario Brothers?” That just sounds like a home run. There is a built-in audience of children around the world who are familiar with this brand.

So it has that, and it’s made by Illumination, who’ve done some of my favorite animations over the years.

Who wouldn’t want to party with that band? It’s two giant brands meeting in a perfect storm of entertainment.’

The new movie is the latest in the trend of video game adaptations – following the Uncharted movie and The Last of Us TV series – and Jack thinks the influence of video games will be felt for years to come on big and small audiences alike screens. come.

The School of Rock star said, “In the future, film and television will continue to use the stories told in video games as that market seems to be growing and growing exponentially.

“The TV and film industries seem to be seeing a bit of a contraction. It will be interesting to see what happens to the entertainment industry in the next 20 to 30 years, but I think we will see more stories from the gaming universe.”
