I had my first child when I was 15 and I’m done having kids by 19 – but critics say I robbed myself of my teenage years
A teen has taken to TikTok to say she’s done having kids – despite being just 19 years old.
Tylar Fertuck, from Saskatoon, Canada, has 224,000 followers TikTokand she recently took to the platform to answer a viewer’s question, which was, “How old were you Tessa?”
Mother-of-two Tylar responded to her by saying, “I got pregnant with Tessa when I was 15. I was 16 when she was born. Then I got pregnant with TJ when I was 17. And I was still 17 when he was born.
“I was done having kids before I turned 18,” the TikTok user said as she danced around to a song.
The video garnered over 52,000 likes, prompting rather mixed reactions in the comments.

Someone asked if she was planning on having her second child when she was 17 – to which Tylar replied, “Yes” with a yellow love heart emoji.
One person wrote, “You’re going to have a great 30s.” Another wrote, “Love all your videos and Tessa and TJ are so lucky to have you as their mom, you guys have an incredible family.”
A third said, “You’re such a good mom to the kids and they’re so cute.” Have you noticed that you have a lot of judgment?’
But others were not so positive. One TikTok user wrote, “So sad,” while another commented, “and by 30 you can be a grandma!”
The content creator usually posts videos and photos with her kids online — but another viewer asked why they rarely see her boyfriend on camera in a separate video.
Tylar responded to that person saying, “He’s rarely in videos simply because he doesn’t want to.”
“The same goes for the kids most of the time. I would never force anyone to take photos or videos if they don’t want to.”
